Volemose Bene In Milano

I really didn't like the service We called to book a table for 9pm, he told us the table was available from 10pm We went here to book in person, and he told us OK for 9pm, but the place outside, we accepted We went there, and there wasn't a table for us outside but inside, in front of the door, with a space of one centimeter from the other table They put the music on very high volume right next to the table The food was all too salty, really very salty The pasta was al dente but it didn't seem like fresh handmade pasta

While not a native speaker the waiter assumed most of the time… unfortunately I didn’t get what I thought I ordered but what I did get was delicious.

Top lunch, top courgette flowers followed by an exceptional artichoke pasta! Well done

We were headed for pranzo at another place when we stumbled upon Volemose Bene. At first, we walked past the outdoor seating, then decided to turn back and investigate. We're so glad we did. The immediate vibe was that this place was the real deal. We felt at home. As expected, the house wine (red) was rich and eminently drinkable. We started with broccoli alla Romana (not the exact name, but you get the point). I had the saltimbocca with mashed potatoes, superb. Mi amore had the Carbonara, which I finished. Also superb. Now, I consider my homemade carbonara PDG. This was better. We finished with the tiramisu, perhaps the best I've ever had, and a REALLY great espresso. After the conto was conted I was offered a glass of limoncello, gratis. (Please don't go there expecting this, but you never know). It was delightful. This was my first dining experience in Italy where I didn't feel like a tourist. I felt like I was home.

Very cozy place. Few tourists, which is a welcome change since you're eating authentic Italian food. The cod is spectacular.

The best Pasta Carbonara of my life!

Trovato per caso in compagnia di un collega, ci colpisce il menù all’ingresso e un riadattamento dantesco! Entrati, l’atmosfera non è milanese, si sentono le note di Venditti, il personale nelle magliette hanno scritto il loro “nome” e scorgiamo ER SECCO e KING … stacchiamo completamente il cervello dal lavoro e ordiamo una fantastica cacio e pepe! S Q U I S I T A!!! Prezzi ottimi

Un po’ di casa nel cuore di Milano. Se vi manca la cucina romana, questo è il posto giusto per voi. Ha piatti tipici romani molto buoni e lo staff è molto gentile. Anche l’ambiente è molto confortevole e familiare. Veramente molto consigliato.
