Best aeronautical-themed museum you can find in northern Italy.

A beautiful museum where you can find unique pieces and journey back in time. The "highlight" in my opinion is the DC 3, where you can try out the pilot's seat. The automotive sector also has a diamond in the crown: the Lamborghini Miura S, which I've only seen in person four times in my life. The monstrous, albeit elderly, Countach is truly amazing! However, my heart, besides the Miura, was pounding at the sight of Marangoni's PIT Biplane, which I once saw displayed at demonstrations. A great pilot who left us years ago. I recommend planning a full day, given the immense space, and avoiding Saturdays and Sundays to fully enjoy the visit. Packed lunches, or an area with good, varied dishes, are available inside the museum. I will definitely be back. 👍

Volandia is a fabulous place if you like airplanes. The museum collection is impressive and well worth exploring. It's noticeable that the facilities have become a bit dated, with a 1990s feel, and I'm not sure if it's managed by an association or a company, but if it is the former, it would be fantastic if they received more support to modernize it. With an update, this museum could look as good as what it contains.

Really great way to spend a few hours if your’e waiting for a flight. Go outside at the second floor and go through the pathway up the highway. There is an alternative entrance to the museum where you have to call the given number and someone will come to open the gates.

Super! In particular, the DC-9 where Pope Wojtyla and President Pertini flew with the team that won the 1992 World Cup evokes wonderful memories and great emotions.
