Vögele In Bolzano

I waited 20 minutes for the gazpacho. The beef goulash was incredibly salty, and the meat was simmered briefly (tough, not falling apart). When asked about the goulash, the waiter didn't know why.

A nice place for dinner with friends. The menu, featuring South Tyrolean cuisine, is very varied. The food was delicious, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Prices were average. I recommend the trio of kanederli and the goulash.

Rustic ambiance, decorated with great attention to tradition. Food very good. Staff not very friendly, as two guests (there were three of us) were clearly not EU citizens. Therefore only 3 stars. Everything else is highly recommended.

Very quaint. The internal courtyard has a slightly uneven floor, but I saw people easily access it, even in wheelchairs. Delicious food and large portions. Wide selection of spirits; I recommend the yeasty beers.

A very fine restaurant in Bolzano, impeccable welcome and customer service, and a cuisine that offers a discovery of flavors.

I was at Vögele today at 6:00 PM with a group of four other people. I can only partially understand the good reviews. My partner and I wanted to have a drink half an hour before our reserved time, but were condescendingly turned away by two waiters and told to come back at 6:30 PM. We then had an aperitif elsewhere. The group returned promptly at 6:00 PM for our reserved and confirmed table. We were seated on the first floor. The decor was nice, but the chairs were very close together. The waiters were only moderately friendly; they were busy carrying crates of drinks, moving tables, and performing other tasks. Not very inviting. The food was okay, but I personally expected much more and don't understand the hype. We finished our meals quickly and then moved on. I think that was my first and last visit to Vögele.

Excellent inn, delicious food and friendly staff. Would gladly return to Bolzano.
