really enjoyed our dinner at Vives. menu has been carefully thought and the service was very friendly. only point on the dessert, as I found them not too great/good size.

We came to the Vives restaurant in Ortisei with friends who already knew it... An excellent experience!
The welcoming atmosphere makes dinner even more special. The staff is extremely kind, attentive, and always ready to recommend dishes and wines. The cuisine is truly top-notch: excellent ingredients, carefully crafted and creative dishes that combine tradition and innovation.
The desserts are also extraordinary, beautiful to look at and delicious to taste. A restaurant absolutely worth a visit in Ortisei, perfect for lunch, dinner, or a special occasion.

A very nice, warm, and welcoming restaurant. We enjoyed some truly delicious dishes, including the risotto of the day with speck and apples, which was excellent, not to mention the pork shank in beer and the goulash with dumplings... and to top it all off, we finished the dinner with delicious apple fritters.
All accompanied by an excellent local Merlot wine.

What a gem this place is! The food both tasted and looked fantastic, and the staff was friendly and competent. We got beautiful and very good food, and was very happy when the sommelier paired it with an excellent local wine!
Luckily we found this place when we still had some days left, so we came back. Different food and wine -still amazed about everything!
I would recommend this place to anyone who loves good food and a genuine atmosphere!

We really enjoyed dining at Vives - so much, in fact, that we went there twice during our one week trip to Ortisei.
First, the atmosphere was elegant but relaxed. Classy, without being snobby.
The food was amazing. We mixed and matched a bit from the set menus, and everything was exquisite. Taste, presentation.. all on point.
The staff can make or break a meal. Vives' staff were great. Friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. I do need to mention the sommelier in particular. Such a passion for his craft, it was a joy to witness. Obviously, his recommendations were perfect.
We heartily recommend dining at Vives, and will certainly be back if we're ever in the area.

Un piccolo ristorante ma una vera chicca in val Gardena, una delle pochissime bomboniere rimaste in una valle sempre più turistica. Qualità del cibo ottima, materie prime selezionate e servizio impeccabile. Servizio ottimo grazie al capo sala Cristina e il suo braccio destro Asia che ti coccolano durante tutta la cena. Da non perdere per chi è per la prima volta in Val Gardena

Ogni portata era curata nei minimi dettagli, con ingredienti di qualità e sapori ben bilanciati. Il locale ha saputo gestire il nostro numeroso gruppo senza problemi, garantendo tempi giusti e un'atmosfera conviviale.
