A challenging day of skiing under brilliant sunshine is pure luxury. But what's absolutely essential on such a day? That's right – the perfect ending: a true explosion of flavor. Vives impresses with its rustic, wood-dominated interior, creating a cozy yet inviting atmosphere. The restaurant's cuisine brings modern touches to the plate. The focus is clearly on the flavor of each individual ingredient – ​​no frills, no unnecessary distractions. Instead, high-quality ingredients and precise craftsmanship take center stage. The spaghetti is cooked perfectly al dente, supported by a wonderfully intense shellfish essence that brings out the flavor beautifully, with elegant clarity. The venison saddle is tender and aromatic. The meal concludes with a chocolate dream that perfectly captures the essence of the day's skiing and the surrounding mountain scenery. The service is equally impressive: friendly, attentive, and courteous. You immediately sense that a well-coordinated team works together here – both in the front of house and in the kitchen. The personal conversation with the chef was particularly enjoyable. He boasts an impressive resume, having learned and developed his style in outstanding kitchens. This is my second time dining at this restaurant. It's a traditional setting, respecting seasonal produce and showcasing local produce. The dishes are harmonious and meticulously crafted, bursting with flavor. The portions are generous, allowing you to try other dishes without feeling overwhelmed. The staff are professional and very friendly. Renis, with her smile, told us the story of the wine we ordered. She's incredibly knowledgeable, as was the other woman who served us. What I appreciated most about this experience was that Chef Daniele came over to ask us how we enjoyed our dinner and chatted with us. We really appreciated it, something you only see in Michelin-starred restaurants these days. We'll definitely be back and will definitely recommend it to others.

I had dinner at Restaurant & Bar Vives in Ortisei. The restaurant is located right in the town center, in a very convenient and pleasant spot. The location is charming, with a typical mountain style — cozy and well put together, perfect for a nice evening in a traditional Alpine setting. The menu is characteristic and reflects the local cuisine, while the wine list is fairly standard, without anything particularly noteworthy. The dishes are of good quality, nicely presented, and overall enjoyable. That said, I honestly found it quite overpriced for what it offers. There are restaurants in the area that provide higher quality at practically the same price, which makes the value for money here less competitive. Overall, it was a decent experience, but my expectations were higher considering the prices.

Without a doubt the best restaurant in Ortisei. Inside this 17th-century stube, you can taste refined and magnificently presented dishes. Each course is an explosion of flavors. The service is perfect, kind and precise. I will definitely return every time I come to Ortisei. Bravo, well done!

It's been a while since we last dined here, but once again we had a very enjoyable evening. The vitello tonato as a starter is a real flavor bomb. The wine list features several very interesting wines from the region, including some of the better cellars from Alto Adige. Definitely try the Plotzner Pinot Blanc from Sankt Paul's. For reds, the Tiefenbrunner blend is the real winner.

We had a great experience. Had our son’s birthday and had different Antipasti, and pasta. They have food for kids also, very good. The place is perfect and coquette. We had 4 of the desserts arranged on a plate with a candle to celebrate our kid. The stuff was very nice and helpful. Great food, exquisite, fresh fish, home made pasta. Perfectly portioned it was excellent for us.

21/02/2026: We visit this restaurant often and can honestly say it's one of our favorites, a definite recommendation. The service is very kind, attentive, and friendly. The decor is a bit rustic, even a little old-fashioned, but that's precisely what makes it special. The food is always very good: I especially recommend the mussels and the fillet steak! For dessert, the tiramisu is always a real treat. Reservations are highly recommended, as the restaurant is always very busy!
06/01/2026: A somewhat secluded spot, but with ample parking. Don't let the exterior fool you, as the food is delicious and generous. After the fresh fish specialties, you absolutely must try the tiramisu – it's divine. A place I always enjoy going to and taking people to – definitely worth keeping in mind. See you again soon!
