I have been going to this place for years and the new management has pleasantly surprised me. I have finally found dishes that are different from those that are commonly offered by local restaurants, good quality of food and wines, and a pleasant cordiality of the owners. I only found the price of the glass of local bulk wine a little high. It is worth stopping by here.

I admit, I've been wanting to try it for a while. The final push came from the discovery of his recent participation in the TV program Quattro Ristoranti by chef Alessandro Borghese, when I learned that he didn't just do wine tasting but that it was an all-round restaurant. And having already tried the other 3 in the competition, the best for me is this one! without reservations.
Overall, the place met our expectations.
Well mixed furnishings, between medieval and pop-folk inserts, local and otherwise.
Dedicated and attentive welcome from the dining room staff, who have a remarkable preparation of the wines, stored in the cellar inside the restaurant, whose very wide selection makes the experience suitable for a tasting.
Three of us and a child spent just over 40 euros each, eating 3 first courses, 2 second courses, two desserts, two bitters, one plain pasta, water and two glasses of wine.
I recommend, in order of appreciation: tagliatelle with beef, farmer's pasta, tiramisu and cheesecake, sheep soup.
We will be back for the other dishes!

Vitis Vineria – A medieval jewel in the heart of Randazzo
Vitis Vineria is an experience that involves all the senses. Located in a fascinating medieval building in Randazzo, this wine shop stands out for its warm atmosphere, attentive service and above all a very rich wine cellar, with special attention to Etna wines. I chose a pure Nerello Mascalese without sulphites: intense, elegant, simply perfect.
Among the courses, the cardoncelli mushroom soup was a real discovery: delicate and fragrant, a refined comfort food. The brioche with horse meat is hearty and delicious, with a perfect balance between flavors and texture. The second course was a dry-aged cow asado cooked at low temperature for 12 hours, served with herbed potatoes: very tender, juicy, of the highest quality.
To close it all, a homemade tiramisu that really tastes like home: it looked like grandma's, genuine and satisfying.

I ate at Vitis on Sunday and I must say that from the appetizer to the dessert I found very good dishes, very beautifully plated and above all an excellent choice of raw materials, very well explained, all topped off with a wine recommended by the waitress with an explanation that only made me want to taste it even more.
All this surrounded by a welcoming location, a wonderful medieval structure both outside and inside... with a beautiful exposed cellar.
I especially recommend the starter of brioche with smoked meat and the first course of tagliatelle with white heart ragú.

Truly unique experience.
Entering Vitis Vineria you find yourself catapulted into an enchanted atmosphere thanks to the place in pure medieval style with powerful walls and expertly crafted wooden beams. Even the tables are an authentic work of art, so much so that covering them with a tablecloth would be a crime.
The waitresses were courteous and knowledgeable about both the dishes (stupendous) and the wines (sublime). (at least for us).
I would write for hours but the only sensible thing is to say: go there and try!
