I dined at this restaurant drawn by the fame of its wine cellar, and I must confirm that, food-wise, the experience was impeccable.
The Location: The restaurant is truly delightful and authentic, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The real highlight is the adjoining wine cellar: an excellent selection of niche wines, curated with extreme passion and expertise. The labels aren't high-sounding but are truly exquisite.
The Cuisine: Top-quality ingredients. Each dish speaks of the region and absolute quality. From appetizers to main courses, you can sense a meticulous selection of ingredients and a skill in the kitchen that enhances them without overdoing them. The combination of the food and the recommended wines was perfect.
The Service (a sore point): The wait time was decidedly long, from taking the order to the arrival of the dishes. The staff is courteous, knowledgeable, meticulous, and extremely strict, but the time management between the kitchen and dining room seems a bit too "calm," risking detracting from an otherwise excellent evening.
Prices: In line with the quantity and quality of the product.
In summary: A magical place for those who love good wine and excellent cuisine. I would definitely return for the quality of the food and the wine cellar, but only on an evening when I'm not in a rush and can enjoy the slow pace of the meal. Highly recommended for a romantic dinner or for a connoisseur, but less so for those looking for dynamic service.

I've known and respected Vitis since its days in Castiglione di Sicilia. The quality of its products and the courtesy have always been top-notch.
During our last visit, however, there was a huge slip-up.
After tasting a couple of natural wines that unfortunately didn't meet our tastes, we asked for a wine that more closely reflected the more traditional notes of one of the grape varieties found in the Etna area.
Well, the wine we were next offered was from a winery often found on the shelves of many supermarkets. There's nothing strange about that; even those shelves often offer very respectable products.
But the bottle in question, of modest quality, priced at over twenty euros, can be found for just over four euros.
In short, from a place like Vitis, you wouldn't expect to find such a bottle among the selection, perhaps in the kitchen to complement the dishes. And perhaps that's precisely where it came from.
Despite what happened, I continue to support the quality of the dishes, the selected raw materials, and the service.

The place is really nice and welcoming. Unfortunately, the service was terrible; the waiters were unprofessional, and the dishes arrived out of sync, rather than together. The food, however, wasn't bad, but it was presented differently than described by the lady who took our orders. For example, she described a meat dish for four people, which would be accompanied by baked potatoes and a salad. There were four potatoes, that is, four rounds, a slice of potato for each; we didn't see the salad. The dessert was awful. It's a shame, it's a shame. All it would take is more passion, more attention, and more willpower in your work.

What a fantastic experience! The restaurant offers an incredible selection of wines — the staff clearly knows their bottles and helps you pick the perfect match for your meal. The ragù was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had: rich, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor. The tartufo pasta was equally amazing, with just the right balance of truffle aroma and creaminess. The setting is warm and elegant without feeling pretentious, making it perfect for a relaxed evening. Highly recommend for anyone who loves great food, wine, and atmosphere.

Incredible meal in a gorgeous setting. Very homey and traditional inside, and a beautiful archway outside with plenty of tables. We had pastas, vitello tonatto, and tiramisu. Everything was delicious - some of the best we had in a week in Sicily. Especially the vitello and tiramisu was very good. Service was very friendly and helpful. 10/10!
