Nice place, decent food, but small portions and high prices. The calamari salad was delicious but sparse. I wasn't thrilled with the gnocchi; the mushrooms overpowered the other flavors. The dessert was good, but too much cream and not enough puff pastry.

Laura is exceptional. I had the best seafood spaghetti I've ever had, fantastic swordfish, and an unforgettable tiramisu. I was with some Americans who had just arrived in Cagliari for the first time, and they were enchanted. Plus, the light lunch menu is incredibly affordable for the quality and portions. I'll definitely be back! 5 stars!!! Highly recommended.

An absolutely wonderful place in Cagliari! You feel at home the moment you enter VitaNova Cucina e Dolci. The decor is tasteful and cozy, with very pleasant, subtle music playing in the background. I would particularly like to highlight the service: The waitress Lydia is super friendly and attentive, and the chef Laura Sechi, who is also the owner, puts her heart and soul into creating a wonderful experience. She takes her time, explains the dishes in detail, accommodates individual requests, and is incredibly helpful. The food was outstanding; everything is freshly prepared and tastes simply amazing! The value for money is absolutely fine—a little more expensive, but worth every euro. A restaurant we will definitely visit again. Highly recommended!

Excellent food and service. The restaurant was closing, but the owner and chef welcomed us and enchanted us with her passion for cooking. It didn't feel like dinner, but rather an experience filled with exclusive flavors. I ate the best seadas of my entire Sardinian holiday. Highly recommended!

We tried this restaurant, drawn by the menu. Unfortunately, we were disappointed: the portions were very small for the high prices, and the dishes were a bit overpriced (tempura wasn't crispy, bread wasn't fresh, pecorino crème caramel was too cold). It's a shame because the dishes are interesting, but I expected much more.

We had a very pleasant experience at Vita Nova, I am vegetarian and there was no vegetarian option on the menu but Laura, the chef, made me three different proposals for different vegetarian dishes. I had a fantastic dinner with great food! Sure, the price is a bit high, but the quality of the ingredient is very good and the portions were perfect! Would go back for sure!

Vitanova serves really delicious food. Every dish we tried was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The portions were definitely on the small side, and the prices are quite high, but the quality made it feel worth it. The restaurant itself was almost empty when we visited, so the ambiance felt a bit flat. Still, the service was good and the overall experience was enjoyable. A great spot if you’re looking for refined dishes and don’t mind a quieter setting.

06/12/2025: Of all the different dishes I tried, everything was quite good. The freshness of the salmon tartare could be improved... you don't mess around with raw fish. Furthermore, it needs to be kept at a constant, cool temperature... The self-service is very convenient and quick, with no waiting for the waiter to take your order.
22/11/2025: I've been frequenting this restaurant on and off for years, so I've had a variety of experiences. In my opinion, it's the best all-you-can-eat restaurant in Cagliari. Pros: Always hot, fresh, and high-quality food (obviously within the limitations of an all-you-can-eat restaurant), some truly well-prepared dishes (the best are fregola, spaghetti with clams, sushi, stewed chicken, and steamed salmon), and constant turnover. There's a wide variety to suit all tastes (cooked, freshly cooked, a huge selection of appetizers, first courses, second courses, side dishes, fruit, sushi, and sashimi). The staff are always friendly, even though they don't speak much Italian, but they're friendly and helpful. The price is excellent for the quality. Cons: Hygiene needs improving overall, desserts definitely need updating, the main clientele is ignorant and disrespectful (plates filled to the brim, tons of food left on the tables, greed mode always on as if they were starving, mind-blowing chaos, and movie-like scenes at the buffet). I recommend going Monday through Friday evenings, but weekends are definitely to be avoided.
