We visited Violella restaurant and were very satisfied. The place is welcoming, spacious, and has a family atmosphere. The menu is varied: it features traditional Emilian dishes, fish, and pizza, all carefully prepared. The portions are generous, and the quality of the ingredients is evident. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the service was prompt. The value for money is also excellent. A restaurant I recommend to anyone looking for good food in the Reggio Emilia area. We'll definitely be back!

My aunt, who is over 85, asked me to write this review for her. She visited the restaurant a few months ago and had the best cappelletti she's ever eaten. They reminded her of the ones she used to eat as a child. The broth was excellent, too. She also gave 5 stars for the service and the truly beautiful, clean, and tidy location.

Don't rush it Very nice place, modern and welcoming. We had pizza and dessert, all excellent... but don't rush it. It took about 1 hour and 20 minutes to order, without breadsticks or anything to drink. The first course arrived with nothing to drink. We ordered desserts, waited about 15 minutes, but nothing... they forgot about us... We asked again where they had gone, and they brought them to us... we ordered coffees, and the usual thing happened. Bottom line: we sat down at 8:30 PM, and to eat pizza, dessert, and drink coffee, we got up at midnight, so don't rush it.

My family and I have been going there for years, even when it was previously in Bosco and called Ideale. The food is excellent, and the value is excellent. The restaurant is also very elegant and well-decorated, making it an excellent location for weddings, special occasions, and events.

L'osteriola

27/09/2025: Extremely hungry after a disastrous summer excursion to Martignano, we almost force ourselves to stop at the first osteria on the way, encouraged by the reviews. From the outside, we're not entirely convinced, but the interior is honest and welcoming; they seat us with a smile (we're off to a good start). The menu is displayed on a chalkboard and offers a good osteria-style selection of classics and Roman dishes. Some people add a first course, while I focus on a meat-based second course (a mixed grill) and a double side of sautéed potatoes and vegetables, washed down with Claudia water, which is locally sourced. The dishes arrive promptly, the service reserved but attentive, the dishes (based on the ones I've tried) are balanced and flavorful, each piece of meat perfectly cooked and the potatoes perfectly cooked. Finally, a satisfying experience on a day where everything went wrong due to the local disorganization... if only there were a hundred osterias!
07/09/2025: Excellent and plentiful food, slightly high prices, but there is no cover charge.
