Vino Vero In Venezia

Went for a full day of Cicchetti tasting. This place had the best tasting ones with a huge variety. Also their service was top notch.

Gorgeous spot with outdoor seating and a few bar seats. All natural wines and delicious cicchetti. You are not rushed and can pay at the end. Relaxing non touristy atmosphere. Next to a delicious gelato shop

Diverse and interesting rare and local wines and cicchetti with extremely friendly staff and a good vibe. And for the wines by the glass, you can taste before you buy. Our Italian friend found this place, and we came back here again and again during our stay.

This was the first place we ate at on our trip to Venice so we had nothing to compare it with. It was featured on Somebody Feed Phil and sounded really special. Needless to say, we didn't get the "star treatment" Phil did. The place was bustling and the staff, though pleasant enough, were clearly anxious for us to make our choice and go sit down. We ordered a glass of prosecco and a glass of red wine, both of which were good and several cichetti. I don't understand why people rave about cichetti--for a minimum of 2.5 euro you get a small slice of bread with a little something on it. Very similar to Tapas. This was the only place where we ordered cichetti where they cut them in half for us since we were clearly sharing. I appreciated that. Go to Vino Vero if you you are in the area or if you have a specific wine you are anxious to try and don't want to purchase a whole bottle. Don't expect to make a new friend.
