After few days in Naples, chaos of the streets, turistic low quality foods, we accidentaly bumped over this hidden and quiet place. It looked interesting so we went in to try. It is the best quality food in Naples. The owner is really focused on delivering with care, always bringing some surprises & food creations. We went back here the next day... If you are in Naples & you wish to try some high quality food and wine, away from street chaos - please try out this place, you will not be disappointed! Amazing wine place in Napoli a part from crowded area. You have a large various range of wine for all budget. The Cheese and charcutery plate was simply fantastic in terms of quality.The person in charge was very cautious that we had a great experience!

Open Sunday evenings, tucked away around the corner from Piazzetta Ascensione in Chiaia. Marcello is very attentive and knowledgeable about Italian wines, perfect for a Canadian couple. The menu only features antipasti, which was fine since we were there for the wine. The wine, sold by the glass or bottle, is reasonably priced for the quality. Far from the touristy areas, it feels like a place frequented by locals. Marcello was very patient with our limited Italian, but we managed to understand each other. Definitely worth a try if you want to taste excellent Italian wines with a detailed explanation of each one.

We stumbled across Marcello’s bar on our first night in Naples and liked it so much we came back the following evening. Marcello speaks no English but that didn’t matter in the slightest — his warmth and hospitality more than bridge the gap. Both nights he recommended wines that were excellent, and alongside them came generous little accompaniments — cured meats, cheese, mushroom crème on bread, and a wonderful bowl of olives. Simple, quality food that perfectly complemented the wine. The background music was also perfectly pitched — adding to the atmosphere without ever intruding on conversation. This is clearly one man’s passion project, and it shows in every detail. If you’re in Naples and want an authentic, unhurried experience away from the tourist trail, find this place.

Looking to escape the rain, we stumbled upon this wonderful spot. Good wine, cheese boards, a pleasant atmosphere, cozy decor, and great music.

A delightful discovery!!! The enchanting atmosphere, the wide and carefully selected wine list, and the selection of cured meats and cheeses on the platter! All served by the magnificent Marcello, who was extremely kind and helpful! Highly recommended.
