Vinicolo Cocktail Lab In Catania

We stopped by chance for lunch on a very hot July day. We sat inside because it was unsuitable outside. They were kind; we waited a bit for our orders, but the food was quite good. The salads were original, served on various plates. The Margherita pizza was good. The other pizza (I don't remember the name) was more leavened but had very little toppings. Excellent selection of gin. Prices are moderately high.

We had such a great experience at Vinicolo Cocktail Bar! The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always smiling, which made the atmosphere even better. The service was excellent from start to finish. A special thank you to the bartender, Emiliano, who was exceptionally kind and made us feel so welcome. He was professional, attentive, and genuinely lovely to chat with. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Catania and will happily come back!

Tonight I had the pleasure of discovering this place... five stars is the minimum. It has a family-like and refined atmosphere, impeccable cuisine, and excellent service. Compliments to chef Lucio and all the staff!!!

This review isn't a compliment, but it's not a complaint either... it's more of a food for thought. Criticism, as I understand it, should help you grow... because you should never think you've reached your goal... I'm giving it a 4 because 3 isn't a good rating, and ultimately we had a good time: the drinks were okay, the food was okay, the place was nice... The only flaw: the staff. The evening had started badly, as soon as we arrived, very tired and suffocated by the heat, we had a bit of difficulty immediately deciding where to sit... so in the meantime that the girl was setting the table, we changed our minds about where to sit and, realizing that perhaps this could have annoyed her, we apologized and politely asked her if we could sit at the table in front... she looked at us, said yes but it needs to be cleaned, and then disappeared. Then the barman had to come down from the counter to prepare the table for us, also rightly nervous a little I imagine because he had to leave what he was doing to serve the dining room... ok we sit down... when it was time to order food, a nice and courteous gentleman served us and recommended the very good cutting board... all ok. It seemed to be going better until at a certain point the girl from before didn't come back, out of the blue took the air diffuser that was in the place and literally blasted it at us... he passes by, picks up the bottle of water and stares at us At a certain point, luckily, it disappears and a very kind and helpful girl with glasses appears. We kindly ask if she can put the fan back in its place since we were flying 😅 she does it immediately. We get dessert, pay, and leave. Now, I don't want to denigrate people, but it's right to be aware of how we appear on the outside, beyond those who are more predisposed to smiling and human contact. Those are natural qualities that not everyone has, but when you do a job that involves contact with people, at least a little courtesy in your manners is a must. It's not just presence, you put your face on it... and the girl yesterday really didn't make a good impression...

The place is nice. Worth a visit for sure. Food was amazing. Try the pizza and apetizers. For the drinks you have to wait a bit they are slow. Overall a great experience.
