Unusual food, very balanced and creative flavor nuances. Beautiful ambience. Very nice and professional team. We felt very comfortable. It was a magnificent experience.

Sono rimasto estasiato dalla bontà dei piatti. L'antipasto di cheesecake salata al parmigiano era una combinazione di sapori perfettamente bilanciati, una vera delizia per il palato. Il polpo era cotto alla perfezione, tenero e saporito. Ogni portata era una gioia per i sensi, sia per il gusto che per la presentazione, curata nei minimi dettagli. Un servizio impeccabile: La cordialità e la professionalità del personale di sala hanno reso la cena ancora più piacevole. Le cameriere, tutte donne, erano attente ad ogni nostra esigenza e sempre pronte a consigliare il piatto giusto. Un'atmosfera accogliente: Il locale è arredato con gusto e crea un'atmosfera intima e accogliente, perfetta per una serata in compagnia.

Restaurant in the heart of the upper city of Bergamo. We were there for the first time in 2007 when it was much smaller and the menu was very limited with cheese and wine tastings and we have repeated 17 years later. Now the place is much bigger, well decorated and nice. It has several places to eat but I have to say that some of the tables for two people have little space and it makes them not as comfortable as others. The food is good, well prepared, well presented and with quality raw materials, although it is a bit special in terms of flavors and tastes. It's worth a try. The price is high; just the cover, purified tap water and three glasses of house wine already cost €30.00, the whole lunch for two people with a coffee €85.50. The quality-price ratio is not very good. Despite everything, I think it is still a very good option in the Upper Town of Bergamo.

Restaurante en el corazón de la ciudad alta de Bérgamo. Estuvimos por primera vez en 2007 cuando era mucho más pequeño y la carta era muy reducida con degustaciones de quesos y vino y hemos repetido 17 años después. Ahora el local es mucho mayor, está bien decorado y agradable. Dispone de varios espacios para comer, pero debo decir que algunas de las mesas de dos personas disponen de poco espacio y las hace no tan cómodas como otras. La comida es buena, bien elaborada, bien presentada y con materias primas de calidad, aunque resulta un tanto especial en cuanto a sabores y gustos. Merece la pena probarlo. El precio es alto; sólo el cubierto, el agua del grifo depurada y tres copas de vino de la casa ya costaron 30,00€, toda la comida para dos personas con un café 85,50€. La relación calidad-precio no es muy buena. Sin embargo, creo que sigue siendo una muy buena opción en la Ciudad Alta de Bérgamo.

This is a magnificent restaurant. The peak came early - with the puttanesca style ravioli. Never had this before. I love the walk-in-wine-list: all the vino is on the shelf. Peruse and make a decision. Very original.

We had lunch twice in this place, the first time we chose the traditional casoncelli, the second time we tried more modern and revisited dishes. The delicious appetizer cheesecake, the salamella burger really excellent and well presented, a nice reinterpretation of the burger concept with traditional products. Yes, it's true the price is high, but the central location in upper Bergamo also counts. In our opinion it deserves it. The only flaw, in my opinion, is that the tables are really very close together, privacy with the other diners is non-existent, but considering the context in which the restaurant is located, it is a negligible flaw, certainly made up for by the courtesy and kindness of the staff of the room. The possibility of ordering a takeaway basket for the picnic is also interesting and original.

I was here for a quick lunch and I was surprised by the very characteristic place, the food was really good, the restaurant manager was really kind and gave us advice on eating and drinking, we ate something typical, the prices are in line with the quality of the food and drink, the menu is really interesting, with traditional Bergamo dishes in a modern twist, even the desserts are delicious... We will definitely be back 👍👍

Pranzo in due, con un antipasto diviso, risotto del giorno e polentina, acqua e due calici di vino. Il servizio attento e il cibo molto buono. Prezzo: 70€ totale, che ormai è la media per uscire a pranzo/cena, ma qui sono uscita molto soddisfatta non solo per il cibo ma anche per la bellezza del posto e per l’attenzione del personale. Ottimo anche olio e doppio concentrato di pomodoro portato con il pane iniziale, un buon modo per iniziare il pasto e l’attesa. Servizio abbastanza veloce (nella norma).

23/08/2024: Visited on a Friday in August for lunch. The environment is a little dated but it's not a problem.. an à la carte or fixed menu is available with 2 first courses, 2 second courses, buffet side dish, water, wine, dessert and coffee for 15 euros, we opt for this. The service seems like the one at home... there are 3 of us and 2 trays are brought with baked pasta and amatriciana-type pasta, to be divided independently among the diners, the same thing for the second courses, for which we are brought some stuffed roast and of veal scalloped with green pepper. The first courses were discreet, the second courses were much less so... regarding the buffet when we realized that we could help ourselves even before the second course arrived... the other restaurant guests, who already knew the formula, had practically brushed everything off :-) In essence: very informal place and average quality.. if you are very hungry and don't care about quality.. and above all you don't want to cook at home.. it's okay... Beautiful view. I didn't photograph the dishes because I was quite unprepared and because they were truly unwatchable. Maybe try again with the à la carte menu (?)

Ristorante dell' Agriturismo Cascina Gervasoni

02/08/2024: I stayed at the Gervasoni farmhouse with my whole family. Me, my husband Giuseppe and our children Pietro, 3, and Caterina, 1. It was a magical experience for all of us, two days spent in an "unusual" place that gave us new energy, carefreeness and serenity. An authentic farmhouse surrounded by greenery with many little animals to meet. The added value is the owner :Max. A book could be written about him, a human encyclopedia, a chef, a tourist guide, a farmer, an educator, etc. It's surprising how many things he can do WELL at the same time, tireless. He welcomed us into his home, explaining the habits and behaviors to follow in the farmhouse, useful for good coexistence and to better integrate with the context in which we lived. Then he put all his patience and knowledge at our disposal. Explaining to us everything he did on his farm, all the organic products he produces and uses, the various activities he can carry out, the itinerants he can follow. He gave us some stratospheric dishes. Herb risotto, omelette with duck eggs, slippers with dark chocolate, rose infusions etc. Pietro was kidnapped by Max, he became his helper, he was always looking for him, he wanted to do all the things he did. They went together to bring hay to the animals, to let the goats out, he cut the vegetables with him for our dinner, "he washed some dishes", but above all he asked him hundreds of questions to which Max always had a smile and an answer. What to say …. Never had a place given us so much, never have we felt so rich. Seeing is believing . We will definitely be back, Pietro can't wait, like us. Ps: 10 stars for cleanliness, incredible how tidy, well-kept and shiny it is.
21/07/2024: Intrigued by this farmhouse present on a smartbox given to us, we would never have imagined the magic of a lunch and lots of chats with Max in his farmhouse. Beautiful moments sharing the positive vision of life, moments that recharge, Max a great messenger of peace through his way of life, we will come back to visit you, Mariangela and Giambattista
