I usually go around everywhere looking for places with a particular atmosphere, I have always been intrigued by the Bergamo Alta which presents itself with beautiful landscapes and in my opinion a Nordic countries atmosphere, I was sure I would have found, and here is the Vineria Cozzi.
Enraptured by the typology, the furnishings, and the excellent labels present not only from the Territory, I am welcomed very well by the staff present, I ask permission to view the beautiful internal rooms, in which the lady tells me about the historical side. Right atmosphere, adequate internal temperature and jazz music in the background... I honestly get lost, regarding wine I follow their advice, the glass is accompanied by delicious food... The Winery reminds me of many places I have visited,
Excellent, new retreat for future trips.
Thanks to the ladies for their hospitality and professionalism... I had no doubts..
See you soon

In the beautiful setting of Bergamo Alta, decorated for Christmas, we stopped for Sunday lunch in this characteristic winery located right on the main street.
The location is nice, at times very beautiful, but it would need some more modern measures to make the experience even more pleasant. I'm referring for example to the tables, very beautiful and original, but a little too dancing; or to the bathrooms, narrow, a little cramped, without the possibility of closing the door and one for the whole room... expect queues. Finally, the method of choosing the wine also needs to be completely revised in my opinion: there is no real menu, but the guest is invited to the counter, where various people in the room move industriously, on whose walls they can choose the labels directly from the shelves. It is not a pleasant experience, especially at peak activity times.
Other than that, I really enjoyed the lunch. Starting with the appetizer, a polenta crostone with Trevigiano in saor and goat foremast. Very good. I then continued with a really well prepared second course: a bowl of giant Bergamo sheep, slow cooked with potato cream. Fantastic texture for a meat that can easily be poorly prepared. Instead here it was real butter. To finish I opted for another appetizer based on egg fondue, with black truffle, polenta and Grana Padano wafer. Also in this case a dish with important ingredients, well balanced, elegant and tasty.
For me, lunch was accompanied by an excellent Corne 2016, a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon (65/35%), produced by Le Corne. The markup is a bit excessive in my opinion.

Definitely the place where we ate best in upper Bergamo. Quick and easy booking process, lovely and warm environment. The dark chocolate and caramel soufflé dessert is simply unmissable. The only negative comment: the winery's bottles have a surcharge of €10 for each bottle uncorked at the table.

Fine Dining for Everyone!
Never thought we would stumble into a restaurant of this calibre. Dishes were beautifully crafted but the art was in the execution of the balance of the matchmaking of the ingredients that made my taste buds dance and my heart sing. My Dark Cocoa Tartlet (savoury) was divine!!! If I am ever in Bergamo or in Milan, I will definitely come back to this under-rated restaurant again. The service was excellent. Tita looked after us wonderfully!!
