A charming villa right on the Brenta Canal! Decorated in the Rococo style, with beautiful frescoes and Murano glass chandeliers. 😀 Plus a historic park with a palm house and a café with a shop in the adjacent building/barchessa. Worth seeing!

Villa Widmann is one of the many villas overlooking the Brenta Canal. Built in the 1700s, it has changed hands several times over the centuries. Today it belongs to the Veneto Tourism Board. The villa has a square plan, a barchessa (outbuilding) and an oratory. There is also a park with a pond and a small carriage museum. We took a very interesting 45-minute guided tour, with beautiful frescoes. Kudos to the two guides who explained the history of this place to us with great professionalism. Inside, there is a café and a large tree-lined parking lot to the side.

It's small but worth a visit. The chandeliers are very beautiful.
