Villa Velar was recommended to me by a friend, a retired chef. The food was a delight, and my friend was 100% right: if you're in Lazise, ​​you should definitely dine at Villa Velar. The service was okay, but it could use some improvement.

Given the reviews, we expected a more upscale restaurant. I'd describe it as a good restaurant for business/simple lunches, both in terms of food quality and location. The dishes were good and well-cooked, but average. I didn't find the fish to be particularly good. The prices were reasonable for the quality, about €50 for two. In any case, the service was impeccable and friendly; we just had different expectations. Thanks for the welcome!

La nostra visita al Ristorante Villa Velar è stata davvero piacevole. I primi piatti erano ottimi e la frittura di pesce era squisita. Il crudo di pesce risultava essere un po' troppo morbido (non sembrava fresco) e peraltro senza gusto. Il personale era gentilissimo e preparato sulle pietanze servite, il che ha reso l'esperienza ancora più piacevole. La loro conoscenza dei piatti e la disponibilità a rispondere alle domande hanno dimostrato un alto livello di professionalità. I prezzi sono medio-alti, quindi è un ristorante che si rivolge a una clientela che cerca qualità e non bada a spese. Se cercate un ristorante con piatti di pesce di alta qualità e un servizio eccellente, Villa Velar è una scelta ottima. Se siete disposti a spendere un po' di più per una esperienza culinaria di alta qualità, questo ristorante fa al caso vostro.

We gingen ernaar toe op aanraden van ons hotel "Da Roberto" (50 meter van deze zaak) dus ook nog eens super makkelijk... Binnen vind je een mooi gezellig interieur, buiten een groot aangenaam terras...Rust staat hier bovenaan het lijstje, alhoewel jonge gezinnen natuurlijk ook welkom zijn... We aten beiden verse vis (maar zagen ook de rijkelijke schotels zeedieren regelmatig aan ons voorbij glijden...) Vis was top gebakken, héél vers, contorni(bijgerechten) ook helemaal top... O ja, en vleesgerechten zien er ook nog es verrukkelijk uit dus dit is een pizzeria, met multiplat keuzemogelijkheden... Huiswijn? Erg lekker! We leesden de recensies vooraf: vaak klachten over langer wachten : géén last van gehad, maar weet dat je nog maar net zit, en al verwend wordt met een gratis foccaccia-pizza, én als dessert ook nog es een gratis sorbetto krijgt... dan ga je toch niet klagen als je wat langer zou moeten wachten? Honger ga je alvast niet lijden hier! Deze mensen doen zo hun best dat ze NOG betere recensies verdienen...(vandaar mijn bijdrage) Dat we terug komen? Dat spreekt voor zich! Staat op ons vaste lijstje, telkens als we naar het Gardammeer komen vanaf nu...Goed bezig, jullie!
