Today I had lunch at this restaurant for the first time.
Very nice place, tastefully decorated.
Delicious hand-cut ham and generous portion.
Good tagliatelle with an excellent sauce. I would have preferred it a little more al dente.
Grilled lamb was good.
Quantity/quality/price: OK.
Overall rating: 8.

Excellent value for money. Dishes: traditional, the menu is always the same, and you have to like the dishes because they never change. The plating is home-style. Everything is traditional, even the type of plates and glasses.
Location: dated (the top-floor terrace is nice, but you don't get one; you have to ask).
Settings: simple, but cloth tablecloth and napkins are almost impossible to find anymore. It's a plus.

Very nice restaurant on the hills of Ancona with the option to eat outside, surrounded by greenery and the sound of cicadas 😊.
The first courses are delicious. The egg pasta is homemade 🔝. The first courses are better than the second courses 😉.

Feeling at home!
We often go to the Villa Romana restaurant, especially for special occasions! We feel at home, excellent traditional food from the Marche cuisine, professionalism of all the staff who pamper you completely. Simple furnishings but everything is well-kept and clean. A stone's throw from Portonovo!

Villa Romana is a historic tavern on the hills of Ancona overlooking the sea: this year it "turns 100 years old"💯🥳🎂 the menu has been the same ever since, with few innovations which allows you to be on the safe side. For example, we recommend: appetizer with hand-cut ham; duck gnocchi, tagliatelle and triangles as first courses; fried as second courses. The grilled meat seems a little small. One thing not to be missed under any circumstances is the homemade trifle. Always found a dignified place (also for Confirmations and Communions for example) both inside and outside on the veranda, with a decent quality/price ratio, not stellar but... tradition must be valued 💯💯💯
