In the hills of Cesena, at Villa Monty Banks, you forget time and find yourself making "peace with the world," pampered by a competent and esteemed staff. Thanks to Fabio De Luigi, who, with the film he directed and starred in alongside Stefano Bonaccorsi, "50 Km All'Ora," where some scenes from the sweet, melancholic comedy were filmed, a couple of months ago my husband booked our vacation as a couple for the first two weeks of August, and there we found something we hadn't expected. An enviable location, overlooking a poetic and photographable panorama, from whose "terrace" you can enjoy an "impromptu" gourmet brunch or a relaxing aperitif, cheered all day by an ever-present breeze that, thanks to the beautiful centuries-old trees that frame the villa, managed to counteract the Saharan heat of early August. A welcoming, clean atmosphere, a tranquil atmosphere, and discreet background music ranging from Mina to Sinatra, from Modugno to Diana Krall, from Aznavour to Vanoni, offering a sense of relaxation in a period residence that its generous founder—the early 20th-century actor, dancer, director, and producer Mario Bianchi, aka Monty Banks—wanted to build as a place to return to with his wife, actress Gracie Fields, when they were in Italy, having moved to America from Cesena, where he found his fortune. More recently, while maintaining as much of its style and structure as possible, the residence has become a luxury agriturismo, with just 11 comfortable and tastefully furnished rooms. Guests can enjoy the products (worth buying!) that come from the surrounding lands, which the young and talented chef Alberto Pinelli (a self-effacing yet passionate culinary artist) reinterprets in the evenings in creative and exquisite dishes, which non-guests can also enjoy. Breakfast begins the day in an original way, a good morning that deserves to be enjoyed calmly and unhurriedly, on the romantic veranda filled with exotic and oriental-style plants, with the sounds of cicadas and birds creating a unique and relaxing atmosphere, and with authentic Italian flavors. An ideal good morning to prepare for visiting the worthy surroundings like Bertinoro, Cervia, Santarcangelo di Romagna, and Cesenatico, or to reach Rimini or Ravenna with a truly special guide, Arianna, who also takes care of welcoming guests. There's another feminine touch behind all this attention to detail: Erika, the hotel manager, is always present and available. I also forgot about the beautiful pool, a great place to cool off from the heat, another reason to laze around after a nice dip, reading a book, chatting, or simply recharging your batteries.

Villa Monty Banks is a truly exceptional property, but what truly made our vacation special was the professionalism and kindness of the entire staff. They welcomed us with genuine generosity, pampering us and making us feel truly at home. The food at their restaurant, L'Agrosteria, is also excellent. Special thanks to Arianna, Debora, and Luca. Family lunch. The location is super, just outside Cesena on a hill with a view to the sea (if the sky is clear and there is no haze). Impressive entrance, park with swimming pool with a view of the hills and plains. Very well-curated menu, unique, giving innovation to traditional dishes. Wine and oil produced by the farm are truly remarkable. Price in line with what is offered. Returned this winter and tasted the truffle-based menu: super. Third visit and a nice surprise, the panoramic terrace enclosed by opening windows that allow use even in the event of rain without losing the pleasure of eating outside with all the windows open. Very pleasant, a hot day mitigated by a breeze in the shade of centuries-old trees overlooking the city and the coast. Always a super menu, tried the fish with impeccable service.

We stayed as a family for two nights at Villa Monty Banks. The building is quite beautiful, and the rooms are very nice. The views of Cesena and the countryside are magnificent. The facilities, spa, and pool are very good. The restaurant is extensive, and extends well beyond the hotel guests, as is the pool, but neither is overcrowded. The restaurant service is sometimes a little slow, but nothing more, but we ate very well. The breakfast buffet was also very good. We tasted the estate's excellent wines and olive oil. Finally, I must say that the welcome was particularly warm, and it was a real pleasure to meet Arianna and her team. In summary, it's a small, beautiful, and high-quality family-run hotel, spa, and restaurant.

We were travelling with our two children and stayed a total of 5 nights. The experience was absolutely fantastic. First of all, the setting of the hotel is more than spectacular, overviewing the whole city of Cesena. The hotel itself is equipped with all amenities needed, everything was super stylish and clean. You really feel being somewhere totally else. But the very best was how warm hearted and caring we were hosted. Special thanks to Arianna, you made our stay unforgettable. So many small advice, where to eat, which natural sites to visit, profund knowledge about cultural heritages nereby, really cute caring about our children, simply fantastic. We felt like members of an Italian family. Thank you for that!!! Hope to come back soon.

We had an unforgettable stay at Villa Monty Banks. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, with a magnificent view and absolute tranquility. The staff was remarkably kind throughout our stay. A special mention goes to Ariana, who made our experience even more enjoyable with her attentiveness and kindness. The dinner was simply fabulous—refined, delicious, and served in an enchanting setting. A place we recommend without hesitation!

Villa Monty Banks is a magical micro world on the Cesena hills that you never get tired of. The view of Cesena is spectacular, relaxing atmosphere, attentive service, attention to detail, zero-mile food, but above all the friendliness of all the staff. My friends and I felt super pampered and enjoyed a wonderful day with excellent food, music and chats by the pool. It's always a pleasure to return.
