My fiancé and I had dinner and stayed overnight at Villa Maiella. The lobby was beautiful, with a lovely open fireplace, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean. Not to mention the dinner. We felt pampered for an evening, served by very knowledgeable and professional staff, and the owners are truly humble and kind! All the dishes were delicious, worth trying. Breakfast was also excellent, with a wide variety of delicious, homemade items. The next day we went to visit Roccascalegna, which is about twenty minutes from the hotel! So, it's also a great place for a different kind of outing. Highly recommended.

One of the best culinary experiences I've ever had. Villa Maiella embodies exactly what you'd expect from an Abruzzese family: hospitality, friendliness, empathy, and above all, warmth. Our visit really put them on edge. Restaurants usually struggle if you arrive late. Hmm, we arrived a week early. Well, we made the wrong Saturday. Four adults and two children, the dining room was full. The son (a truly delightful person) looked at us and, throwing up his arms, said... "Can I send you home now?" Have a seat, we'll give you the family table." We'll definitely be back because we felt at ease, because you served us excellent food, and because Peppino treated us like sons. Thank you.
