What can I say about very high luxury venues as well as very high quality food, I highly recommend them

I don't dwell on the food and wines which are always up to par. But I would like to point out the raw sheep's meat and the potato chitarrina. But I don't want to do anything else wrong. The view while dining is priceless. The service was kind and attentive and non-invasive.

Very friendly and welcoming service, not too much distance, amazing menu with an extraordinary wine pairing, nearly everything from Abruzzo region or even nearby. The restaurant is somewhat reminiscent of a meeting room, even if it has been nicely decorated. Because of the large tables, we sat a little far apart, but this was still okay. Our waitress was really attentive and also wrote down all the wines for us. The plates were really delicious and creative.

A truly elegant place where inside you will find family management divided between the kitchen and the dining room. Kindness and hospitality introduce the guest to taste the various dishes that strongly recall the territory, with ingredients of their own production and typical dishes of the region. Even the wine proposals trace back to Abruzzo. It's worth traveling the winding roads to reach this noteworthy culinary destination! See you soon.

Villa Maiella is a tasting experience worth trying but there are several dishes that in my opinion are not up to the standard of a restaurant with a Michelin star. Specifically, the seasoned black pork, or the raw pastry with ventricina ragù or the lamb with thyme. Note of merit instead for the burrata ravioli with saffron cream and lentils and for the creamed spelled with porcini mushrooms. The rest of the dishes on the menu our proposal are more or less a journey of flavors and aromas to take. Moving on to the service, in my humble opinion, it appears to be too studied in detail. Every single attention, word or courtesy towards the guests is exaggeratedly "forced" even simply going to the toilet turns out to be complicated because the service must be interrupted until you return to the table. As for the desserts, I really appreciated the custard with white chocolate puff, with dark berries and gentian underneath.

A hidden gem in the Abruzzese hills!

It was very pleasant to have lunch on the outdoor terrace enjoying a beautiful view of the nearby mountains. Unfortunately, however, the rest of the lunch was not up to par... the proposed tasting menu seemed almost improvised at the time with very few courses that left their mark. I definitely expected more given the fame of the place, the star and last but not least the price. I wouldn't go back.

Wonderful restaurant with top food, wine and friendly service in a quiet setting. The dishes are beautifully prepared and exquisite tasting. We tried their pork and lamb focused set and were really impressed with the quality of the ingredients.
