Good selection of food. High quality. Prices within limits. For me the 2nd best restaurant in town behind Veccio Camino.

In this wonderful and magical place I met my future wife and we spent some wonderful moments together getting to know each other better. From our love our beloved little girl was born (who is now over 3 years old) and when we return to this place with her, it's a sinking heart, because it's as if right there... a flower had sprouted 🌼 🌼. I have little to say about pizzas 🍕; we have been taking the same ones for a decade and they are unsurpassable...and when I say "unsurpassable" I say it with full knowledge of the facts. The "non-plus-ultra", the Latins would say. We know the menu by heart and we also celebrated both our daughter's baptism and first birthday here, as well as my 40th birthday. Everything always excellent, impeccable, exquisite. The friendship that over the years has linked me intimately to the owner Mino and his incomparable staff is one of the milestones of my existence that I always carry in my heart. Abbiamo trascorso il Capodanno in famiglia presso Villa Excelsa ed è stata un’esperienza perfetta. Cibo eccellente, curato nei minimi dettagli, e personale bravissimo, sempre attento e cortese. Atmosfera accogliente e raffinata, ideale per una serata speciale. Complimenti a tutto lo staff per aver reso questo pranzo indimenticabile. Super consigliato!

Memorabile come sempre l’esperienza gustata a Villa Excelsa, sabato scorso: la squisita accoglienza, che già di primo acchito allarga il cuore, ha fruttato anche deliziose leccornie per il palato. Palpabile la cura con cui il titolare Mino mette a proprio agio i clienti che hanno la fortuna di accedere alle sale invernali del ristorante, arricchite di particolari della cultura locale. Impeccabile l’attenzione (misurata e mai invadente) dello staff al tavolo con cui, dalla professionale e garbata responsabile del servizio Angela, fino alle più giovani leve ben impostate, vengono serviti con maestria tutti i clienti, abituali o sconosciuti che siano! La qualità degli ingredienti, freschi e locali, esalta i piatti tipici della tradizione, sapientemente rivisitati grazie a felici ispirazioni che arricchiscono ogni portata di un tocco di modernità e creatività e danno una nuova profondità al sapore, senza tradire l’essenza della ricetta originale. Superfluo aggiungere che tutto ciò produce un tale gradevole valore aggiunto… che non si vede l’ora di tornare! Chiara

Very poorly received by the owner who did not want to give us a table on the terrace because we had 5 children. Despite everything, we ate well in a magnificent place.

The villa is very beautiful The starters were excellent and plentiful. Excellent mixed grill Kind waitresses, patient and attentive in their service. The only sore point was that the cut of meat was really hard to chew... Perhaps the cut was too fresh.

Extremely tasty and delicious food! Totally worth it! Highly recommended! The waitress and the owner are really nice and friendly. Overall, this was an incredible dining experience - Excellent, authentic Italian food. Prepared with attention to detail and served with attention to service

On holiday in Salento in the week of August, we tried many places in the area and in comparison this place was one of the best in terms of quality and quantity of products and price paid. Historic villa, relaxing and pleasant environment on a hot Sunday in August, friendly staff who actually perform a service unlike most places. We had 2: mixed land appetizer for two, homemade pasta with leaves and ragù, stuffed ravioli with braised meat, water and 2 glasses of primitivo ---> price: around 70 euros. Finally a place where we had trouble finishing everything.

Every time we come to Puglia, we can't help but stop at Villa Excelsa... It's a guarantee.. And we are always enraptured... The food, the welcome, the service, always impeccable.. A big hug Mary and Genny

I returned after two years and found great food and excellent service. I recommend trying the fish crudité, a real delight. You have to come back at least a couple of times to be able to taste all the specialties.
