Villa Castiglione Hotel & Ristorante In Impruneta

In heart of Tuscany, just 15 minutes away from center of Florence, with spectacular view on the Domo and the city of Florence! Very close to most tuscany attractions like Pisa, Siena, San Gimignano, Chianti wineries region and more!

The pool was closed for repair when we arrived which was unfortunate. The roof terraces looked a bit worn and tired - pots with half dead plants on one and nothing to sit on either of them apart from the airconditioning unit. Shower in the room needed replacing. No shampoo/ conditioner provided. Hair dryer is attached to the wall and not very powerful so if you want to dry your hair I would suggest to bring your own. We asked for more hangers and were given newly arrived ones. Beds were really comfortable and clean. The staff were lovely and helpful so can't fault that aspect. Public transport from the Villa is non existent despite what some reviews suggest about a bus being available at the end if the road - I wouldnt rely on it!. You can drive to the Coop car park about 20 minutes away (windy narrow roads for some part) which is free, then get the tram into Florence easily. The car park is in two parts - the first part closes at 8pm and the smaller one is 24 hours but fills up quickly. The outside area was lovely with views over Florence. Found the inside restaurant a bit depressing but only had breakfast there so it may be more atmospheric in the evening. The bar doesn't open until 5pm and restaurant opens at 7.30.

The villa is in a beautiful setting. The rooms are spacious and I really liked the original and artistic decor. We had a relaxing stay and enjoyed our trip to the restaurant, the food was great. The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely book another stay here.
