The service is courteous and attentive, not intrusive. I have a few reservations about the seafood appetizers, but that's my personal preference. I believe fish should be treated as simply as possible, but it's clear the chef has tried to offer more innovative dishes that are slightly outside of the traditional norm. Both the grilled fish and the fried mixed seafood are truly excellent (and plentiful). In any case, an experience worth repeating, recommended for seafood lovers.

Excellent lunch and impeccable dishes. The first course was truly incredible, both in its presentation and the combination of flavors (we had the tagliolini dell'abbate, highly recommended).

My wife (who live about 900 km from Grottole) and I always stop by Vikyann when we come to that beautiful village, and it never disappoints. The seafood dishes are exceptional, delicate, and flavorful; even the pizza is absolutely top-notch. The service is always impeccable and friendly. The owner is always incredibly welcoming and kind, and the chef...well, simply fantastic. We've already been to this beautiful place six times, and if we ever come back to Grottole, we'll definitely stop by Vikyann again. Highly recommended. Luca and Simona

04/01/2026: I tried this restaurant a few years ago during a stop in Matera, and since I liked it so much, I brought it back again this year for the company I was having. Always a guarantee! The restaurant is inside a cave, so the atmosphere is very evocative. The dishes are typical of Lucania; from appetizers to dessert, everything was delicious and prepared with local ingredients. The owner explained each course and the wine to us with patience and kindness, even though we were quite noisy and picky diners :D In short, an almost obligatory stop if you're passing through Matera.

25/10/2025: Delicious sandwich shop where everything is homemade, using local products. The area is quiet and the staff is lovely.
