A cornerstone among the bars in northern Rome. Everything, both sweet and savory, is consistently excellent. The ice cream log remains unbeatable, even after numerous challenges from imitators. Friendly table service, though perhaps the hot food service has slipped a bit.

The best ever, both savory and sweet. The tramezzini, mozzarella in carrozza, and calzones are unbeatable. The atmosphere needs updating, but it's true to tradition, and we've grown fond of it.

On Monday, September 29th, I sat down with my ninety-year-old dad as usual for many years, but this time because I had written a negative review a few days earlier about the unprofessional behavior of an employee at the pastry shop. The manager initially approached our table with alacrity, urging us to leave for having written a negative review. When I replied that it was not a valid reason, he replied that he was about to have a meeting (at the bar at a 30x30 table 😳). So dismayed by the surreal circumstance, I informed him of my dad's fragile health condition, who was meanwhile in a state of obvious agitation due to a fibrillating heart condition. The manager, with an alienated attitude, not only threw away the cardiology report he had just performed, but also told me to stop with these excuses and that he would call the police! At this point, after having endured intimidation and provocation for at least 30 minutes in a low voice and with an ambiguous attitude next to our table, we asked for news of the arrival of the police! After being gone for about twenty minutes, he returned to our table and, with a threatening attitude, leaned down toward us and pointed his finger at me and my father. He stated that unfortunately he had to leave because someone was "REALLY ILL" and that he hadn't called the police this time, but next time...
The moral of the story is that we absolutely don't want to give up this historic establishment, which we think is excellent!
