Vidoc In Malcesine

We came. We saw. We devoured. 🍝 This was hands down the best meal of our trip—no contest. Our daughter ordered the homemade pasta with tomato sauce and basil, and let me tell you… that basil must’ve been grown in a magical garden because it blew our minds. 🌿💥 My husband and I tag-teamed the tuna tartar -wow!-, the mixed salad and the shrimp tortellini (also homemade!), and now we might fight over who gets the last bite next time. The service? So friendly we almost invited them to dinner tomorrow. 😄 We wrapped it all up with tiramisu and espresso. Highly recommend. Would eat here every day if we could!

Spectacular combinations, healthy cuisine, light, rich in vegetables, a mix of exotic and Italian flavors that is definitely unique. Pleasant, helpful and delicate staff. A place to be in company while eating not well, but very well. Try wattacca as an appetizer if pumpkin and caramelized onion are your thing.

An original and well thought out menu, with proposals ranging from local cuisine to tasty ethnic dishes. The staff was kind, helpful and also friendly - which is not always a given. Finally a restaurant that stands out from the usual tourist offerings found in the area. Recommended!

A little gem among so many tourist places. The place is very welcoming, with an extravagant and retro taste. The staff is really polite and smiling, and the cuisine is a very successful mix of tradition, Thai and Indian influences. A beautiful experience!

Having read recommendations on TripAdvisor, we followed our map to find Vidoc in Via Dosso. We hadn't made a reservation, and think we were actually very lucky to get a table in the front of the restaurant...TOP TIP...book in advance!! From the moment we walked in, the staff were friendly and welcoming... there's a lovely ambience. Felt so comfortable and at home! Menu is just a treat to behold...a fusion as it suggests, where Italy meets Sri Lanka! I love the way recommended wine pairings are suggested. There is a vast selection of wine available and on display to peruse...enjoy! As for the food... delicious! We actually ate at Vidoc twice in the five days we were in Malcesine, and on both occasions my husband had the chicken biriani... it was that good!! I tried the pink tortelli on our first visit, and the prawn, chilli and lime pasta, the second time. Can't fault the food, just fabulous. There's a good reason why Vidoc is rated so highly on TripAdvisor, and I'm certainly grateful we found it, thanks to the reviews of other diners. Just loved it! Thank you!
