Last night, I went to Vico Degli Scettici for the first time. The atmosphere is rustic, and one room even had a fireplace, creating a lovely atmosphere. The staff were very friendly, and the food was delicious!!! I highly recommend it... 😊

We went to this place for lunch with a colleague. The place was very well-kept and had a simple yet elegant style. They brought us appetizers and fried food, and everything was very much appreciated. It was really well prepared. The owner was very friendly and offered us coffee. It seems trivial, but it actually works great. If I ever pass by this place for work or vacation, I'll definitely stop by again to try the rest of the menu.

Honestly, I was skeptical about going in, and... I was right. The service was good, the waitress was friendly, the pizza was good, and easy to digest, but the appetizer portion didn't seem to be of high quality. I also had the feeling the place lacked cleanliness, especially the dusty light bulbs in the bathroom, plugged into a multiple socket.

The atmosphere is lovely, very large and almost disorganized. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Unfortunately, our culinary experience wasn't one to remember. The overcooked octopus turned to chewing gum, the fried food was too greasy, and the only redeeming feature was the tuna, which, besides being plentiful, was also well-cooked. Despite everything, we'll be back because a bad night is inevitable.

Yesterday we stopped by Taviano and were particularly hungry. Vico degli Scetici had been recommended as the only place open for lunch. I called to see if the kitchen was still open since it was already 2:00 PM, and the owner Donato answered and said he'd be waiting for us. We arrived and asked what he recommended from the options, and they suggested the dish pictured with yellow date tomatoes and swordfish. Ladies and gentlemen, it was divine! Truly a delicacy, and when we'd finished, Donato stopped by again to ask how it went. An old-fashioned welcome that I've always adored but that's hard to find these days! Thanks again, and I hope to return soon.
