We were in Riposto for 4 nights and liked this restaurant so much we went back a second time. The food was great but what made the restaurant was the staff. We were waited on both nights by Agneszka, Alessia and Maria. It turns out that Alessia and Maria are cousins! Great evening!

Optimal. Friendly and qualified staff. Well done chef. Exceptional value for money. I often go to Vico Astemio and I recognize the chef's ability to grow in his work in a natural way. In his dishes you can sense creation and everything with simple and natural products. Compliments. Not everyone can create a fabulous dish with a simple artichoke or trunzo. . The environment is always well looked after. Excellent choice of music. And finally the staff who grew up with the restaurant: perfect, kind, professional and smiling. Go it's worth it.

A truly remarkable culinary experience at Vico Astemio! The Malvasia and raspberry tiramisu is an extraordinary dessert, surprising the palate with its originality and finesse. The main course Spaghetti with black garlic, anchovies, and sea urchins, strike a perfect balance of bold and harmonious flavors. The young but highly professional staff elevate the experience with attentive and knowledgeable service. The Sicilian chef’s Massimiliano touch is evident in every dish, blending tradition with creativity in an exceptional way. Not to be overlooked is the extensive wine selection, which pairs wonderfully with each course. A must-visit for anyone seeking quality and originality!

Wonderful experience in this very nice restaurant in Riposto. The dishes are already very beautiful to the eye and in addition they are delicious. We were very well received, we thank Maria for her impeccable service, her smile and bravo for her few words in French. Excellent food an extensive wine menu and a very beautiful room make this restaurant a special place to dine. Quality of food and combinations of aromas are extraordinary. Service staff is very helpful. It’s all very tastefully decorated and served. A treat for eyes and mouth alike.

Consigliato da amici abbiamo raggiunto Riposto che vanta un magnifico porto turistico con vista spettacolare dell'Etna. Raggiunto il ristorante ci accomodiamo in una sala con impianto architettonico in pietra lavica a vista e veniamo accompagnati al nostro tavolo. Da subito veniamo raggiunti da graziose ragazze (una di loro parla benissimo l'inglese: eravamo con una amica americana) che ci consegnano i menù e la carta dei vini. Dopo il primo assaggio di un olio eccellente ci servono il "benvenuto dello chef" (amuse bouce), ordinato il vino ed i piatti, veniamo serviti diligentemente. Mise en place spettacolare (non ho fatto foto perchè avevo premura di assaggiare) e cibo eccellente. Di astemio c'è solo il nome percè hanno una cantina di tutto rispetto con vini che spaziano dalla Siclia al nord Italia alla Francia. Esistono 2 menù degustazione ma abbiamo scelto alla carta, per un pasto quasi completo (alcuni hanno preso solo un piatto ed il dessert) con vino e grappa finale abbiamo pagato circa 50.00€ a testa. Che dire ... consigliatissimo !

Celebrated my birthday here in October season so atmosphere was fairly quiet however! The food and service were so exceptional it didn’t matter if anyone else was there or not. Chef Massimiliano truly reflects the unique taste of Sicily and mirrors the volcanic essence of Etna, the balance of smokiness, salt and unique local flavours were elegant, delicious and exciting. Truly impressed by the flavours and choice of ingredients and produce were really well considered. A hidden gem I would travel back for and will crave for when I return home. As for the staff Alessia Maria and Agnieska were warm, welcoming and had a real in depth knowledge of their wines and menu. An absolute treat. I wouldn’t be surprised if this guy was awarded a Michelin star one day.

01/04/2025: Went to docalquadrato (Via Clementi) with a group for happy hour and booked the table in advance. It was a really rainy day so we sat inside which was really cozy and inviting. Wine cellar vibes with open kitchen where you can see how they prepare the snacks. Our waiter Chris was really nice and also the rest of the staff! The chef is a very creative young guy who is also offering cooking classes at the place (one was just taking place while we were there and it smelled amazing and created a really nice atmosphere of being at home in the kitchen of a real Italian family). The charcuterie board was super tasty! Would definitely come back and recommend the place! Thanks for the hospitality!
18/03/2025: An extraordinary culinary experience! This restaurant stands out for the excellent quality and variety of its dishes. Tonight we tried one of the different platters on the menu: the cured meats are of the highest quality, with intense and genuine flavours, while the cheeses offer a range of tastes that satisfies every palate, from the most delicate to the most decisive, furthermore the combination with the jams skilfully prepared by the chef was perfect, enhancing every single ingredient. What about the caponata? Simply perfect! A balance of sweet and sour flavours, with very fresh and well cooked vegetables, impeccably seasoned. The manager and all the staff demonstrate rare professionalism: attentive, prepared and always ready to recommend the best pairing of wines and dishes. The service is quick and efficient, without ever being intrusive. A true point of reference for those looking for a high-level gastronomic experience. Congratulations indeed! Absolutely recommended!
