Consigliato da amici abbiamo raggiunto Riposto che vanta un magnifico porto turistico con vista spettacolare dell'Etna. Raggiunto il ristorante ci accomodiamo in una sala con impianto architettonico in pietra lavica a vista e veniamo accompagnati al nostro tavolo. Da subito veniamo raggiunti da graziose ragazze (una di loro parla benissimo l'inglese: eravamo con una amica americana) che ci consegnano i menù e la carta dei vini. Dopo il primo assaggio di un olio eccellente ci servono il "benvenuto dello chef" (amuse bouce), ordinato il vino ed i piatti, veniamo serviti diligentemente. Mise en place spettacolare (non ho fatto foto perchè avevo premura di assaggiare) e cibo eccellente. Di astemio c'è solo il nome percè hanno una cantina di tutto rispetto con vini che spaziano dalla Siclia al nord Italia alla Francia. Esistono 2 menù degustazione ma abbiamo scelto alla carta, per un pasto quasi completo (alcuni hanno preso solo un piatto ed il dessert) con vino e grappa finale abbiamo pagato circa 50.00€ a testa. Che dire ... consigliatissimo !

Really good place with friendly service. Tasteful use of tableware in lava. Beautiful and simple design. Can definitely be recommended.

A culinary experience worthy of its Sicilian land, wine list with an excellent assortment of Sicilian wines, Tuscans and Sardinian whites are absent, a forgivable absence to have a total Sicilian experience. Impeccable service, friendly, empathetic. Well done

Heel goed verzorgt , mooie smaak combinations, verse producten, vriendelijk en professional people. Goed gepresenteerd! I felt the flavors of my land concentrated in an explosion of flavours, just like Etna! I haven't met the chef in person, but his dishes are better than a business card!

While the place was a bit hard to find, once you discover this gem you would like to gatekeep it. I don’t know where to begin, the staff is amazing and very service minded. The food was amazing and the drinks likewise.

On one of our last nights in Sicily, we went to Riposto for dinner. After the adventure of navigating and parking the narrow little streets (look up the meaning of Vico), we had a delightful dinner at Vico Astemio. We had one of the nicest pastas of our trip, with black piglet. The red mullet as main dish was really tasty. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and fluent in English. We finished with a complementary Limoncello and Amaro (bitter).

17/12/2024: You always return to where you had a good time. This is what I said once I booked the table at Coria. Fresh from the sublime experience we had two years ago in Caltagirone and after wanting to try other starred restaurants that didn't stand up to the comparison, we returned as guests of the two starred chefs Patti and Colonnetta. I was waiting for this moment like children wait for Christmas and after taking a seat in a modern and minimal room we began our journey. We opted for the 7-course tasting course at the end of which we were full and satisfied. The wine we chose was the one we tasted two years ago and which struck us for its flavor and quality (you don't get a headache and you don't feel sleepy), Marco de Bartoli's Vigna Verde. The sommelier Laura, precise in her explanations, reassured us of the excellent choice but still perfectly illustrated to us what other options we could have tried. Once the wine was served, our journey through Sicily began among tastes that were so well known but at the same time foreign to our taste buds. From the aperitif to the small pastries passing through the stuffed cuttlefish, the red mullet, the interludes such as the melon semifreddo with raw ham and carob foam and the turnip in three consistencies it was an explosion of flavours, smells and textures for us. Honorable mention for the bread products and the bottarga butter. Having returned from a terrible experience in another Michelin-starred restaurant, I was a little afraid of the risotto which instead turned out to be sublime. So what can I say? Thanks to the chefs, specifically to chef Patti who we were honored to have met and to the whole team. Thanks also go to those who work in the dining room and specifically to Mr. Luca and Mrs. Laura who served us impeccably and made us feel at home between one chat and another.
