After visiting the beautiful Foligno I thought of finding a place to eat chosen by chance and satisfied 100% excellent welcome, very nice place, clean, well-kept, impeccable service ... dishes well made and cared for in detail and above all truly exquisite. Bread cooked in a wood oven, really good and served in an original way in a "straccia" (sieve) a nice trip into the past for those who love simple things. I will definitely return to try other dishes, also the coffee served in a nice way accompanied by biscuits, a nice treat 😊 thanks

We had lunch here right in the center of Foligno, without having booked, they welcomed us immediately despite our big dog.
Dishes prepared, well presented, but above all delicious! Very kind and knowledgeable staff! Price quality that is difficult to find! What can I say, to be repeated without a shadow of a doubt!

Booked the first time out of curiosity, after seeing the menu from outside, I have to say that the carbonara is definitely good, so much so that I can't do without it every time. I have tried several dishes and none have disappointed me, on the contrary, there are often very interesting off-menu dishes. It offers typical Roman dishes, with a particular predilection for artichokes in different ways. For me it has become a fixed stop every time I stop for lunch or dinner in Foligno.

Let me start by saying that we were coming from Rasiglia in the direction of Rimini because we are from Romagna and we decided to stop in Foligno for a stroll on Easter Monday. We go to the center and start walking around and looking for some restaurants. Among the many we find LA CARBONARA TRATTORIA. We ask if there was room, and they let us even though we hadn't booked. Nice place, clean, clean bathroom and very good service with friendly and knowledgeable waiters. I had a carbonare, delicious, my wife a tagliatelle with Taggiasca olives and dried tomatoes and the kids other first courses, a very good house red wine, delicious fried gnocchi and good raw meat. We didn't even wait long, considering the turnout. Reading the 2 bad reviews below and clearly written by the same person from 2 different accounts I wonder how anyone can be so mean and ignorant towards people who work and do it well. Apart from the fact that I was treated very well also on the price and if there is anyone who complains about the prices, they should stay at home because they spend less. Congratulations.

Tasty dishes in particular: Spaghetti carbonara: the right amount and very crunchy bacon but too much pepper, Tagliatelle with dried tomatoes and Taggiasca olives: a few dried tomatoes and only 1 olive with stone, Sliced beef rare: very good, especially the courgette cream with mint, an exquisite combination, Maccheroni alla Matriciana: crunchy bacon and delicious pasta, desserts Passion fruit semifreddo: really good dessert, the semifreddo was decorated with gel of cherries, strawberries, blueberries and a Peruvian physalis. I liked the service because the waiters were very welcoming even if some were still beginners, furthermore, as a gift while we waited, they brought us some cured meats and typical Foligno savory pies. The very refined and enveloping environment. I would go back for sure.

Cozy place in the center of Foligno. Generous portions at more than fair prices, for being in the historic center. The carbonara is very good, and also the tagliatelle with white ragù. I will definitely be back!!
