Il Megalite farmhouse is located just outside the village of Giurdignano, 4 km from Otranto, an excellent location for exploring Salento, reaching the coast north and south of Otranto, and taking advantage of the services of nearby towns. The reception area, with its beautiful adjacent swimming pool, forms a sort of central piazza around which the rooms, each with its own veranda/sitting area, are arranged in a fan shape. The rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean. From the rooms, a beautiful arched path shaded by vines leads to a large green area and the breakfast/dining room. Here, you can dine comfortably indoors or outdoors, as Il Megalite also serves as a restaurant. Il Megalite farmhouse is a haven of peace where you are welcomed with the utmost kindness and courtesy, from the reception staff to the dining room staff and the ladies who take care of the rooms. Kudos to each and every one of them. We had a problem with a specific personal need, and the owner was incredibly kind and helpful, in an unexpected way. We thank him again, along with the receptionist who assisted us.

We had dinner at this agriturismo. A charming location, tables surrounded by greenery, and a pleasant atmosphere. Traditional, homemade dishes. The staff was attentive and courteous. Fair prices.

Value for money beyond our expectations, both for the high quality of the food, and the excellent comfort, space and hygiene of the rooms and the beautiful swimming pool with hydromassage!!!

We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. The rooms were modern, comfortable, and clean. The staff was always helpful to answer any questions for activities and things to do and nice. The pool was good to have a dip in and clean. Loved our stay

Exceptional place, we spent a beautiful day full of fun. I recommend it to everyone, try it to believe it, excellent food and excellent prices. Run by a wonderful family, where Jacopo, Alessio, Gesualdo, Salvatore, Umberto and all the staff made us feel at home. We will not be long in coming back. Thank you all!

07/10/2025: GOOD but… DON'T GET THE RAW FISH! So let's start with the fact that the fried fish is very good. Like the other appetizers we ordered… but there's one big, big flaw. The raw seafood… too expensive for such an overly elaborate dish. But ugly, tasteless… only beautiful to look at. 3 flavorless tartares, not the best fish (by type), accompanied by a flask of boh-infused oil (sour, inedible, to be avoided). Except for this salty aside, which we could have easily avoided… The appetizer was good! And the first courses… WELL, my friend… The lobster first course was “SCARY”!! Beautiful, colorful, substantial, fresh, and so on. 2 important notes, however: 1st, well done for the selection of bitters (probably a local company, a series of very nice bitters found in many restaurants in the area). Second, you can't be a Michelin-recommended restaurant... and you have no system or way to keep the dining room cool. Two air conditioners, one of which is turned off due to condensation... too bad that in the summer, with wine, dinner becomes unbearable. The raw ham (which leaves much to be desired) and the heavy sweating on the plate cost them one star in this review. Turn on the fan now!!!!

09/10/2025: Good food, but the head waiter is dishonest and makes derogatory remarks in Italian about foreign customers, putting them down. He'd better change his career!
