21/01/2026: The food was excellent; the coppa served as an appetizer was one of the best coppa I've ever had. Their tartare, too, was not very finely chopped but had a flavor that lingers. The first courses were excellent and generously portioned, but the meat was the highlight of the meal: we had two different cuts, a Danish steak and a classic beef tagliata, both of which ended our meal beautifully. The Danish steak had an intense flavor but wasn't heavy on the palate. The tagliata was very tender and truly delicate.
The wine the hostess recommended to accompany our meal was excellent!
The only flaw, but only because I can't see much, is that the place is a little dark, but it's truly elegant. The coffered ceiling is truly impressive.
I eat here often and it never disappoints!
16/01/2026: The restaurant changed hands four years ago. The ingredients are locally sourced, from the cheeses to the vegetables. The atmosphere is rustic and very refined, with a distinctive ceiling designed by architect Nervi. The highlight is the fireplace, which serves excellent grilled meats, including exquisite cuts of Danish, Florentine, and other cuts. The appetizers are excellent, and the portions are generous, as are the homemade first courses. The desserts are delicious. The service is impeccable.
For those coming from out of town to eat in Sacrofano, where the restaurant is located, one of the two gates to the village is just a hundred meters away. I recommend taking a stroll through the old town, whose origins date back to Etruscan, Roman, and medieval times. It's one of the few with a small Jewish ghetto.
