Palermo truly has some gastronomic gems within reach... and Verdechiaro is certainly one of them, a gem for those who love vegetarian and vegan cuisine, with creative dishes and the freshest ingredients. I'm not that lucky, and to go there—at least once a year, during the long-awaited holidays—we have to activate the usual plan: "organize the holiday in a certain way" to have a valid excuse to stop in Palermo, at Via Alessi 40! This year, the excuse was a wedding in Marsala. The location is always elegant, with attention to the smallest details. The dishes seemed even more refined and elaborate than usual: the "Umami" pasta dish, for example, deserves a special award. The staff is, as always, extremely kind and professional. We went with a couple of friends who couldn't help but confirm every word of enthusiasm we'd spent describing it. If we made such a great impression, it's all thanks to Verdechiaro. The wine cellar is also excellent, with a wide, quality selection. The service is a strong point: the staff is extremely kind, attentive, and always available. Superlative culinary experience, beautiful venue, and welcoming, professional staff. We ate wonderfully, from the appetizers to the burgers and even the pizza. The desserts were exquisite. Must try.
