This evening I had the pleasure of dining for the first time at Pizzeria Verace Elettrica, run by my friend and pizza chef Sergio Russo, whom I met through our work. And what can I say... I was completely blown away! As soon as you enter, you immediately notice the modern and welcoming atmosphere: it's surprising to think of finding such a high-end pizzeria inside a shopping mall, but here the quality of the pizza quickly makes you forget the location. The pizza I chose, the Messinese 2.0, is a perfect example of how tradition and innovation can coexist in a single dish. This revisited version of the classic Messina focaccia is made with select ingredients full of character: creamed escarole, slow-cooked yellow and red cherry tomatoes, flavorful anchovies, Sicilian tuma cheese, and Pantelleria oregano. Every bite offers an incredible balance of flavors.  What's most striking is the lightness of the well-leavened dough, fragrant and easy to digest, as many reviews confirm, and perfect for showcasing each ingredient without weighing it down.  But it's not just the pizza that makes the difference; you can sense the vision and authentic passion behind it. Sergio's idea of ​​bringing authentic pizza to an unexpected setting and using a high-quality electric oven has yielded remarkable results, so much so that it has been recognized nationally with prestigious awards such as the Gambero Rosso Tre Spicchi. One of the most surprising experiences in the city! At the Verace Elettrica pizzeria, I tried the "Segreto di Ape Nera" pizza with a multigrain dough: a true delight! The balance of fior di latte, Parma ham, walnuts, honey, parmesan shavings, fresh basil, and extra virgin olive oil is perfect: refined, intense, and harmonious flavors. A journey between sweet and savory that captivates the palate from the first bite. Plus, excellent service: friendly, attentive, and smiling staff.
