March 2026 Update:
Surprise, new chef.
Can the already excellent quality be improved?
Yes.
A new menu, surprising without giving in to fusion copycats.
Each dish is a journey of flavors and originality, even for the eyes.
Thanks also to the girls in the dining room, they are unsurpassed and precious (and to Daniele, an exquisite host) 🙏
I repeat, Verona deserves this type of dining.

Our city needs more places like Vecio Mecello.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, thanks to the very kind and knowledgeable staff. And smiling (no small feat).
The preparations are "thought out" and reveal the pursuit of originality. When you discover that the chef of the main courses is young and passionate, you wish you had a 6-star review.

We returned for lunch: an excellent baby octopus appetizer, a delicious duck and truffle tagliolini, a forgettable chicken liver tagliolini—it tastes like everything but chicken livers, and the fried skin (crunch) is horrible. I've attached a photo.

As soon as you walk in, you say, "Nice place!"
A very kind blonde girl immediately welcomes us with a smile and shows us to a nice table.
We're having lunch; we start with an excellent shared fried fish dish at the center of the table, followed by a cheek on a bed of mashed potatoes, plated and divided for two (photo).
Both courses are excellent, as is the chef's amuse-bouche, which arrives unexpectedly as soon as we sit down.
With coffee, there are kindly offered sweets.
We had a great time, pampered both by the girl and by the owner, Mr. Daniele, who is always present.
The price is fair for the quantity/quality of the ingredients.
Absolutely not to be missed.

We went Saturday at lunch as a couple and opted for ordering a la carte starters, first, main and dessert.
It was an incredible experience!
Food was all delicious, but in particular we loved the perfectly cooked octopus, the bone marrow (great recommendation of the waitress), the duck ragù tagliolini (best dish of the meal), and the beef cheek.
The atmosphere was lovely and the staff was very friendly and attentive, providing a great introduction to the dishes and helping with recommendations

After 2 weeks in Italy, traveling across most of Northern Europe, this was the best meal I had. I have a dairy allergy and they made sure to accommodate me and even brought out a few special courses made specifically for me.

The perfect ending to my trip to Verona and the surrounding area. Spectacular food and impeccable service. Gabriela spoke Spanish fairly well and gave us wonderful recommendations.
At the end of the evening, the chef came over to greet the customers and was also fantastic. I hope I can return soon. Greetings from A Coruña.

The food is delicious, and the owner, who is from Taiwan, speaks Mandarin, making you feel very welcome. I recommend everyone to try it.

For a friend's birthday, this restaurant uses excellent ingredients. The chef's skillful preparation and service are second to none. The five-course fish and meat menus are recommended... sublime. Excellent wine list. We'll definitely return. The atmosphere is historic and welcoming.

Very nice and well-kept atmosphere. For my taste, the truffle was tasteless and the portions were very small, especially the pigeon. The dishes were very good.
