We came here in 2024 and revisited in 2025. Not much had changed. The food is hearty and well priced.The Lubjanska (*spelt badly) was really good. They do good German beers, including Oktoberfest beer. The othe half tried to drink them out of prosecco ,(two years in a row). The staff are helpful and friendly making it s pleasure to visit. Al Vecio Canal has got atmosphere but is so unpretentious that pretentiousness walks on the other side of the canal to avoid the place. It's a rock bar, kinda, with locals/regulars.

On a friend's recommendation, we went here for dinner with friends. It's a good restaurant serving tourist/local cuisine. The dishes were tasty and reasonably priced. It was nice to sit outside in the square, though a little care was needed to ensure the tables and chairs were wobbly due to the uneven pavement. The staff was friendly and courteous. I was surprised by the coffee machine closing at 10:30 PM... but you can do without it.

Went back twice and if the risotto di mare is back on the daily specials I really want to try it…the calamari were delicious, same with the pasta in asparagus cream sauce with crispy bacon. Friendly people and nice vibe.

A real bargain for an inexpensive and delicious lunch at the Trieste City Library. There's plenty of choice, especially for kids, and the portions are generous. It's very pleasant inside and highly recommended, as outside, unfortunately, people smoke.

Excellent beer, good grilled sandwiches.
You can sit inside or outside. You can also dine in, and prices tend to be higher there. The dishes are traditional cuisine with Austrian influences.
