Pizzeria Vecchio Forno In Tropea

The pizza was very good and easy to digest, slightly thicker than average but perfect. The atmosphere was quiet and secluded. Recommended.

We had dinner at a restaurant that preserves a bit of Tropea's history. The food was good and the service was more than friendly. Highly recommended.

Located in a quiet alley, but literally in the centre, the perfect hidden gem for your dinner. We went around 10pm and thought they would be open since the hours on maps indicate till 1am, though they seemed to have been closing the kitchen for the night. NEVERTHELESS, they still accommodated us, and gave us our time to view the menu. The pizza came out immediately and it was UTTERLY. DELICIOUS. (Would go again if I could). To make the experience more pleasurable, the staff was very friendly, and even the cook came out asking if everything was good and had a lovely conversation with us. We were even given the pleasure to visit their kitchen and see first hand that the pizzas are made in an old fashioned pizza stone oven. Food = BREATHTAKING STAFF = SPETACULAR Final verdict = IPER MEGA BOMB! 💣💣💣

Pizza Buonissima for me the best is Onion (from Tropea) and Nduja....

A simple and spartan place we have been there twice eating more or less everything .... From appetizers to pizza. Really very good ... raw materials from the farmer and cooked in the home style. The pizza is good, but you might not like the cooking. It is in fact cooked in pans in a wood oven so it has by its nature a different flavor and consistency ... You can't expect the classic pizza eaten everywhere. But excellent! As the best tradition of pan pizza wants. The service is super helpful and fast. Definitely excellent value for money. So I recommend ... at least for one evening.

A place where those who are looking for only the simplicity and genuineness of food can find it exactly at the old oven. Everything is very rustic and without frills. Prices are not very high.

We spent three days in Tropea and we like it so much, we return every night. Cant be netter and more authentic. Just look inside, great wooden oven and rustic place. And the staff is very nice. You can also have take out.

The staff were very friendly but the pizza disappointing. It wasn’t the worst but I expected a lot better from such a old pizza place.

For me a great place and great food. I've been here twice and their "pizza cipolla e nduja" and the second "pizza Vecchio Forno" were fantastic and the price was very reasonable. This place has an atmosphere and is usually busy.
