An old-fashioned trattoria/restaurant, no frills, elaborate menus... only home-cooked food, freshly made with whatever the market has to offer that day, so the food is always different from one visit to the next. The owner is incredibly friendly, the prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is friendly.

An exceptional experience, a step back in time in a historic trattoria where it's truly worth stopping for dinner with friends.
The longtime owner of over 40 years welcomed us with the warmth and kindness of someone who hosts you for dinner in his home.
Freshly prepared food served from a trolley.
A menu featuring fresh, daily-made dishes.
An experience worth repeating and recommending to everyone.

I've been going to this restaurant, which I discovered thanks to the I 100 Torino guide, for many years. It's family-run and it's almost like eating at home. There's almost always a fixed menu, but it's very varied and plentiful. The price, which varies between 20 and 25 euros, includes everything from appetizers to dessert, including wine, drinks, coffee, and liqueurs.

I dropped in by chance with friends for a quick lunch at the restaurant I frequented about 35 years ago. I found the same welcoming atmosphere as before, as well as the owner, who was as helpful and friendly as ever.
Excellent lunch and good wine.

A casual place reminiscent of an old Piedmontese trattoria, offering home-cooked food, generous portions, and the option of seconds. We'll definitely be back.

A friend, a longtime customer of Vecchio Aratro, took me today to enjoy an excellent lunch at this decades-old old-fashioned restaurant under the arcades of Corso Potenza, simple yet substantial. Dino, the owner, is a friendly and kind gentleman. He served us a generous house-made mixed antipasto, with rustic bread and breadsticks, a first course (al dente rigatoni with fresh tomato sauce, with Calabrian chili peppers available to add to the dish), and a delicious mixed boiled meats for the second course. All accompanied by a bottle of good house red wine. After choosing and enjoying the pears in red wine for dessert, I had a good coffee, followed by an after-dinner drink. Everything was more than delicious and at a more than fair price, congratulations! P.S. They also do pizzas in the evening (also for takeout): my companion told me they were more than good. I will return to Vecchio Aratro to try the pizza, too!

Absolutely nothing to complain about.
Everything was perfect from beginning to end.
The waitresses and owner were fantastic.
If you're looking for Italian food, this is the place to go.
The owner even gave us a little souvenir that we'll treasure.
Thank you again for the wonderful Christmas meal and for your generosity.
