Arriving on Saturday morning around 10:00, we felt a sense of desolation as all the businesses were closed (we later learned they only opened in the evening). We found only one bar for a coffee.

A historic pizzeria in Pescara Vecchia, also offering outdoor seating on Via delle Caserme: we tried the Abruzzese antipasto of hot and cold dishes (good), as well as the pizza. The pizza selection is extensive and the quality is excellent, with a dough we hadn't tasted in a long time. Prices are average, and the staff is friendly.

Cozy and nice environment, the only flaw is that there was a table with about ten people who were "making a racket" and their voices were "very loud" in the place. For the rest, the pizza was good and the staff was courteous. Definitely worth trying again at the first opportunity and looking into more.

28/06/2025: I went for a quick pizza al piatto (I was in the area and didn't know where to go) and I was amazed in an absolutely positive way: very kind and professional staff, excellent pizza, zero waiting times, super convenient price and very welcoming environment! I highly recommend Pizzeria Bar Mazzarino.

27/09/2025: Excellent pizza and excellent fries, better than many other pizzerias/restaurants. Impeccable service. Just a little bit of chaos in the restaurant due to the large crowd and noisy children, but nothing serious.
