I had the incredibly delicious pizza calzona, my wife had tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, a delicious house wine, and freshly chilled water. Classic, refined, and simply delicious. We'll be back. PS: The prices are absolutely fair.

Unfortunately, the pizzas we ordered weren't tasty. The toppings and cheese were rather cheap. The mushrooms were from a can. The zucchini and eggplant on the pizza were unfortunately undercooked. The side salad was also rather mediocre. The service was friendly and attentive.

I've been there a few times... excellent pizza, excellent beer. Very good value for money. It's a shame about the location. If it were on the lakeside or in town (not right next to the road, so to speak), it wouldn't be the same.

Antica Osteria Il Monte Rosso

10/11/2025: On a beautiful sunny day in November, while taking a dinghy trip to Lake Maggiore, I decided to have lunch at the Antica Osteria Il Monte Rosso in the hamlet of Suna, Verbania, right on the lakefront. The restaurant is very nice, clean, and tidy. We opted for the 18-euro set menu, which includes a small appetizer, a first course, a second course with a side dish, and fruit or dessert. For the first course, we had salmon risotto and orecchiette with anchovies and turnip tops. For the second course, pumpkin tart with fondue and roast turkey with mashed potatoes. To finish, we had the cake of the day and pineapple for fruit. Everything was truly delicious. The staff was extremely professional and prompt, even with their explanations.
21/09/2025: Warm welcome and service. Delicious and refined dishes. A pleasant terrace with a view of the lake.

12/10/2025: Wonderful place! We chose it for our wedding. The cuisine is delicious, carefully crafted, and original. The rooms are perfect for an overnight stay. Nature, tranquility, and a beautiful view of Lake Maggiore. Ivan organized everything perfectly.
26/07/2025: A classy restaurant that uses top-quality ingredients, many of which are locally sourced. We ate divinely! Not to mention the price, which is proportional to the quality and kindness.
