Today we had lunch at this restaurant, which has been in Sondrio for many years. We had a delicious appetizer of sciatt and taroz, and then opted for some seafood dishes with a Greco di Tufo. The dining room was beautifully decorated and quiet, and the waiter's service was truly excellent. Overall, the restaurant could benefit from some renovations. But it's an excellent choice where we always enjoy ourselves. The prices are fair.

For work, I had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant for both lunch and dinner for a long time! Highly qualified staff, polite and super helpful owners, and excellent food, from starters to main courses, salads, and the delicious charcoal pizza. 😍 Thanks again, I've attached some photos!

Located just outside the center of Sondrio, this restaurant offers a variety of traditional Valtellina specialties. Delicious food and generous portions. Very friendly staff and fair prices.

A pleasant surprise, they have several typical dishes from Valtellina's rural culture.
In addition to the classic pizzoccheri, I discovered Taroz and Tzogoiner, which I hadn't heard of.
Everything was delicious.
The welcome and service were simple but very familiar, making you feel at ease.

We went to the Vecchia Carbonera for two evenings, a group of 14. I booked and agreed on a menu with Mr. Franco, an excellent person and a true restaurant professional. On Friday evening, two people were quite late, but he prepared the requested dishes on the spot, demonstrating his helpfulness and courtesy towards the customer. A gesture greatly appreciated.
The recommended menu was excellent, featuring local dishes from pizzoccheri and sciat to tortelli with bitto cheese and bresaola. The grilled meat on a stick was a fabulous dish.
