Getting to Porte dell'Adige isn't easy for those coming from outside the province, but once you arrive, there's a wide range of well-stocked shops. You'll be spoiled for choice, from shoes, clothes, groceries, electronics, pets (dogs, cats), fish, bread, a jewelry store, eyeglass shops, and car and motorcycle supplies. I recommend taking a stroll.

I wanted to highlight the professionalism, expertise, and courtesy with which Mr. Carlo, from the optical shop located within the Conad Superstore (a shopping center on the banks of the Adige River), has assisted me in purchasing both prescription glasses and sunglasses for my family over the past few years. He also has another rare quality: humanity, which is fundamental and rare for us customers. Thanks to the manager and again to Mr. Carlo.

14/10/2025: Yesterday at noon I had lunch at "Cappa Café," which, despite its name, is an excellent restaurant. After an excellent appetizer of crostini with cod cream, I savored the "risotto al tastasal," two Veronese specialties that anyone visiting the city should try. The service was impeccable; we ate on a terrace overlooking the Adige River with a beautiful view. A few sparrows, fearlessly swooping in to peck at the bread crumbs, provided a wonderful backdrop to the excellent food. I recommend everyone to stop by this place.
