An old-fashioned trattoria nestled in the Ferrara countryside, we had a fish-based lunch: fabulous risotto, even better fried fish, and then grilled eel... a specialty you just have to try.

June 26th we ate everything a la carte and all fish (excellent) despite the evening menu at € 15 and with a wide choice that we have already taken on other occasions good and abundant, tonight we decided to order what we wanted. Fish appetizer. Spaghetti with seafood, frogs, grilled fish and side dishes buffet really really good ...

Typical old-time trattoria. I'll focus on the positive aspects: whoever wrote that the staff and owner are rude perhaps had a bad day or perhaps had a bad attitude towards them. They were all courteous. I'm used to being kind, smiling and saying thank you if, for example, I'm informed about the waiting time. And we know: smile calls smile. They immediately warned us that we would have to wait for the eel and I would have been surprised otherwise because if you grill a 1kg eel in less than half an hour there is something wrong. I informed them of my allergy and they immediately came back from the kitchen to tell me that what I had chosen was not worth taking and immediately presented me with an alternative on the same basis. The portions are far too generous, the prices normal. Not all the fish is caught, but the menu is clear in warning that there may be frozen products. I must admit that the mussels marinara were not cooked expressly but they were still fresh and very good. Probably prepared in quantity before starting the service. You can park comfortably. It should be noted that despite the enormous fireplace that is always active, there is no smell of embers or grilling at all. Thanks also to the grill chef who allowed me to take the photo. One last thing... the trifle is stratospheric.
