Lovely place with great potential, friendly staff. Unfortunately, there is a lack of maintenance, the large umbrella is all torn and mouldy, the bar is falling apart, the tables are full of ants. I'm there today, as it's Monday and the place is a bit isolated, we were around 20 people in the entire facility. I found the bathroom without paper, without soap, sunbeds and deckchairs all open in a disorderly manner. It seems to have been left unchanged by the Sunday crowd. If for organizational reasons it is not possible to restore decorum on Sunday evening, let it open later on Monday, perhaps at a discounted price but those arriving cannot find it in those conditions. Choosing that swimming pool means choosing relaxation and you can't find yourself there all morning with the attendant making noise because he's intent on cleaning up the dirt from the day before and throwing the sunbeds and deckchairs without the slightest consideration, placing them near us with a noticeable noise. . Price list regularly displayed but a small portion of not exceptional pici cacio e pepe consumed in a dilapidated bar, 12.50 euros seemed a bit excessive to me. Even the sandwich I got, although well filled, had bread that wasn't fresh without us making an effort to at least give it a reheat. It's a shame because there is general friendliness and the place would be really nice

Fantastic place, friendly, attentive and friendly staff. An oasis immersed in the fantastic Chianti hills! A magical place. Delicious food and good selection of beers and wine.

We felt very comfortable in this very idyllic little place in the middle of the vineyards! The operators were extremely friendly and accommodating. The pool was clean and well maintained and indescribably beautiful. We enjoyed the food in the small restaurant. The only point of criticism: Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are old and in urgent need of renovation! Would still come back any time!

03/10/2024: Ein sehr authentisches Restaurant mit einem hart aber herzlichen Gastwirt, der ganz offensichtlich das Herz am rechten Fleck hat. Das Essen war sehr gut. Es war ein schöner Besuch in diesem Restaurant mit einer Erinnerung die sicherlich bleibend sein wird.
06/07/2024: This restaurant came highly recommended so it might have been that our expectations were too high. We were warned that Albo the owner is a “character” and that is definitely true. Hard to say how much of the grumpiness is for show versus reality. Definitely did not appreciate our arriving without a reservation despite an empty restaurant that only grew to half full. The house special pici pasta in the pecorino wheel was very good. I wasn’t able to eat the filet of beef as it was too undercooked…despite my asking for it medium -well for which Albo gave me a hard time. Their house limoncello was a blend of fruity flavors that were delicious. I didnt love the hard sell of logod napkins departure. I would visit again if I was in the area but wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

04/08/2024: Locale con vista panoramica sulle colline di Montacino cucina ricercata e carta dei vini enciclopedica con qualche eccellente proposta al calice. Porzioni forse un pò mignon, ma prezzi corretti. Ottimo.
31/07/2024: Here you’ll read ( only on your iPhone … grrrr..) a refreshingly modern menu soundly based on traditional Italian produce & recipes..sometimes with a few twists- many superfluous, but sort of “pleasant” For example my fresh-made Pappadelle Carbonara had a pair of just so-so prawns plonked on top upping the price of the otherwise ‘around €16 ‘ dish to €22 ! But those dreary crustaceans added nothing in reality to the otherwise pretty standard classic. I began with a raw, finely diced tuna dish of consummate essential quality that was rather marred due to a messy base of violently-drizzled & sweetened ( yuk) sauce’ unnecessarily robbing the stunning fish - gently mounded on top - of its essential & quite outstanding character. Others opted for liver pate to start, finding it arriving on plate as just two small double-spooned portions aside a significant pile of toast! A bit odd that & slightly disappointing, they reported. Lousy coffee - something for which there’s zero excuse- rather took the edge of an otherwise most pleasant luncheon where we’d particularly enjoyed the waiter’s finely-judged two bottle wine selections …the truly delicious recommendations being presented in very fine wine glasses perfectly suited to each bottle we’d confirmed upon his response to our taste I nclinations. Uneven, but with outstanding wine advice/ service, this luncheon ended up being a tad overpriced for what I seemed like the kitchen trying to be ‘modern’, without either the need for that aspiration nor the true skills to bring it off with assured success every time. A qualified recommendation only.
