Dirty toilets and toilets that don't lock (broken or missing locks). Sorry, but this is unacceptable. Even the nice view doesn't make up for it...

A relaxed location with good food. The menu doesn't even list everything they offer. A tip for allergy sufferers: they have gluten-free pasta and even gluten-free apple strudel for dessert. Sure, it might not be the right place for penny pinchers, but if you like a good, relaxed atmosphere, this is the perfect spot. We'll definitely be back.

We visited the mountain hut several times in early 2025 and loved the food and the atmosphere, even though the prices were always a bit high. Today, in February 2026, we traveled all the way from Wolkenstein and were surprised to find it so quiet. The service was excellent, just like last year. The prices were high, but the quality of the food was a 3 out of 5. The mixed salad was just green leaves... nothing more!!! 10 euros!!!!! The artichokes were peeled sloppily for 18 euros, and the ribbon pasta with leeks and way too much oil was 25 euros. The prices themselves would have been okay if the food had tasted good. Now we've read about the change of ownership. So no wonder. A shame for the restaurant.

A place that quietly gets everything right. Stopped in briefly during a SL race day in Alta Badia with my colleague (we are professional ski-racing coaches from the U.S.) and was struck by how relaxed and welcoming it felt. Clean, warm, unpretentious, with that rare balance of professionalism and ease that’s hard to manufacture. Came back later for lunch and it was the same story: excellent food, attentive but never intrusive service, and an atmosphere that invites you to slow down without trying to impress you. No spectacle. No sales pitch. Just a well-run mountain refugio doing its thing with confidence and care. Basically, a place that reminds us what mountain culture is all about! Easy to recommend.
