I was at the restaurant this evening and was absolutely delighted. I arrived very late and actually thought the kitchen had already closed. Nevertheless, I was greeted very warmly and shown to a table outside. I was asked if I needed an Italian or English menu. 👍 I was then given plenty of time to choose my dinner. Both dishes I ordered were outstanding. The pasta with truffles had a perfect al dente texture and an incredibly wonderful aroma. The baby squid in the white foam sauce were phenomenal. The wine, recommended by the waiter, paired perfectly with the food. Thank you so much for that! At the end, even though it was quite late and I was the last guest in the restaurant, I was still asked if I would like dessert. However, I was so full from the two previous courses that I politely declined. I'm deducting one star for the ambiance, as I was seated outside and can't judge the entire restaurant. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. I will definitely be back. A wonderful experience from start to finish. The price was also perfectly reasonable. Many thanks to the whole team! 😃👍

A welcoming and unique atmosphere. The menu offers a sampling of revisited traditional dishes and sophisticated dishes with excellent pairings. There are restaurants where you eat well. And then there are places like Upepidde, where something happens that goes beyond the food. Michelangelo Sparapano doesn't cook: he describes Puglia like a poet who knows the weight of the wind on the olive trees, the silence of the winter farms, the smell of warm bread in real homes. Each dish arrives at the table with an almost unsettling delicacy, but inside it explodes a depth that stays with you hours after you leave the restaurant. At Upepidde, you won't find the sterile display of haute cuisine. You'll find memory, intelligence, courage. You'll find technique without arrogance. You'll find flavors that seem to have always been yours, even when you've never tasted them before. There are dishes that excite with their precision. Sparapano's excite because they have soul. The most incredible thing is that, despite being a Michelin star, Upepidde manages to retain something rare: humanity. You feel welcomed, not impressed. And this, today, is perhaps the highest form of luxury. I left with that feeling that only great restaurants have: not of having eaten, but of having experienced something that can't be fully explained. Upepidde is unforgettable. It stays with you like certain songs, certain sunsets, certain people.

We hadn't been here for a few years, and we took the opportunity of April 25th to try UPEPIDDE again. We opted for two full menus, which were thoroughly satisfying in both quality and quantity. The wine list was excellent. A few fewer jokes among the younger waiters (nothing annoying, mind you) would have improved the service, which was nevertheless very attentive and courteous.

We visited this gem in the center of Ruvo, where customer service is undoubtedly one of their strong points. The manager was extremely knowledgeable, extremely helpful, and also very friendly. The service staff were incredibly fast, always present, and always smiling—the same smile you'd see on the lady welcoming you when you entered, and on the chef's face when you left, with whom we also chatted a bit. All this attention is evident in the dishes: carefully prepared, delicious, and superbly flavored, from the delicate risotto to the tender braised meat, which didn't even require a knife. We received special attention for an off-menu item; despite our request for a sugar- and carbohydrate-free protein diet, we were treated to excellent-quality sausage and tagliata, cooked to perfection, accompanied by seasonal vegetables. We will definitely be returning to Upeppidde and recommending it to friends and family!

The food and service were impeccable, in a warm and inviting setting. We particularly enjoyed the delicate vitello tonnato and the rich texture of the chocolate fondant. And then there was the excellent bread, perfect for mopping up sauces. We raved about its quality, and they even offered us a loaf for our picnic the next day. Thank you!
