What can I say, my absolute favorite Japanese restaurant: Umami day is my day of celebration! The menu is always new, but it still has the great classics that must not be missed, a wide selection of drinks to accompany the meal (for which you can ask the owner for advice, who will explain them to you with competence and courtesy). The service is attentive and courteous, sometimes it may have sinned of inexperience but on the other hand you have to have this experience! The quality of the raw materials is unquestionable, as is the mastery of the kitchen in working them and combining them. The owner is adorable: welcoming, knowledgeable, discreet but also available to share his knowledge, should you want to learn more about Japanese culture and cuisine. The prices of some dishes may seem exaggerated, while others seem honest to me. The tofu, the diaphragm skewers and the handmade udon are absolutely worth trying! Well done, well done! Every time it's a joy!

Everything delicious, relaxed and authentic atmosphere: it really feels like being in a Japanese restaurant in Japan. The staff was extremely kind and attentive, even recommending an excellent lime and ginger sake. Honest and more than accessible prices.

Very very good. It retains Japanese flavors but adapted to Western style. Some side + ramen is the perfect combo!

A corner of Japan in the heart of Rome. The sushi is comparable to what I ate in Tokyo, the staff is very kind and ready to satisfy customer requests. Attentive and scrupulous even in case of allergies. My partner is allergic to shellfish and despite everything he was able to enjoy the sushi in peace. We will definitely be back.

There are also very good Japanese restaurants in Rome, but I really didn't expect to find such a welcoming place, informal without being sloppy and approximate, in short, a real trattoria where you eat excellent food (which I don't even know if you can say that). My life will therefore have a before and after the discovery of Umami.
There wasn't one thing I didn't like, amazing sushi and sashimi but the gyoza! And the duck, Wagyū, fish dishes, the buns, even the cotton cake ❤️ and nothing, it will become one of my favorite places but also yours, I know!

Small Japanese restaurant run by an Italian who is certainly qualified but with less pronounced flavors than other restaurants of the same type. Excellent quality raw materials. Medium to high prices.

Piacevole l' atmosfera.
