U Piccin In Loano

We ate outside in this beautiful little square in Borgo Castello in Loano in September 2025... we were not satisfied... the bread seemed old, the breadsticks were not packaged in little packets but artisanal ones and they were stale... The vegetable appetizer included for two a few pieces of dry farinata, a small omelette and pieces of savory herb pie, things that are also made at home... there was nothing, for example, some vegetables in batter or two balsamic onions to accompany. In short, without imagination, then I chose fish ravioli with hazelnuts but they didn't have much of a fishy flavor and the portion was minimal. For the second courses nothing appealed to me and like me I felt like I was at a table next to me, the same conclusion... the service was quite fast, few tables to serve and the girl serving was kind... The desserts were good, average, all in all a disappointment... I wouldn't go there again...

The food is good, although not everything is freshly prepared. The lady serving the tables is friendly. The menu is typical Ligurian. I highly recommend it.

A very good restaurant for seafood. The side dishes are also delicious. The staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended; we went back before leaving.

The restaurant's location (especially when you can eat outside) is almost kitsch-like. It feels like a movie set. The food is absolutely wonderful.

Welcoming place I found the dishes excellent at fair prices. I tried the grilled swordfish and the antipasto del borgo.

Very nice restaurant; we ate outside in the little square. Prices have gone up, which is understandable, but the portions have become much smaller, unfortunately. Another important point: when you order bottled wine, it must be opened in front of the customer and not brought in an already opened bottle.

We had the pleasure of discovering this charming restaurant nestled in a charming little square in the heart of the historic center, where time seems to have stood still. The authentic and genuine atmosphere, enhanced by the windows overlooking the intimate square and the discreet glances of the village elders, gave us a warm and familiar feeling of welcome, almost as if we were guests in a private home. The cuisine, an emblem of Ligurian tradition, lived up to every expectation. We began with a delicious mixed antipasto for two, featuring a particularly noteworthy battered codfish, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside: a true delicacy. For our first course, we were served a plate of walnut pansotti, soft, delicate, and expertly seasoned, which won us over from the first bite. Next, the seafood tagliatelle amazed us with the quality of the ingredients and the harmony of the tomato sauce, clearly homemade, which elegantly and simply highlighted the freshness of the fish. To conclude, we indulged in a classic tiramisu, expertly executed, and a coffee affogato, simple yet perfectly balanced. The coffee, in particular, stood out for its aroma and intensity: truly impeccable. The service was friendly, attentive, and spontaneous, managed by a young, cheerful staff, conveying the pleasant feeling of being in a family-run environment, where each guest is welcomed with care and respect. All in all, a memorable food and wine experience in a picturesque and authentic setting. If you find yourself in Loano, a stop at this restaurant is absolutely essential. Without a doubt, one of the best places we've had the pleasure of dining.

Abbiamo cenato ieri sera da U Piccin : ambiente famigliare, gentile e accogliente, collocato all’interno del magico Borgo Castello di Loano. Cucina del territorio, arricchita da stuzzichini goduriosi ( come le frittelline salate offerte durante l’attesa). Consigliatissimo il fritto misto e i contorni ( ottime le trombette con il pomodoro ) . Ci torneremo presto!
