A family meal, with tasty, local and typical cuisine. The boss takes great care and little touches that are much appreciated. Olive oil to taste as a digestive and the boss's fines to finish the meal. Good value for money

Went here after a visit to Valley of the Temples - delicious food in a neighbourhood setting and service was amazing. The owner gave us the local digestif and almonds to try and even gave our daughter a t-shirt. Highly recommend

A very good place for lunch. Although the high temperatures made us feel hot, we enjoyed the dishes that were prepared in the open kitchen.
The person who served us was very kind and considerate, we don't speak Italian but when you fly people understand each other and you can tell when the person serving you has people skills.
Regarding the food, very good, all the dishes. We ordered a second turned into a first / pica a pica, because the little one in the house had been craving calamari a la Romana for days. And we found a plate of "fritto misto" with squid and shrimp battered in a very thin and tasty way. A dish that we can consider expensive (€16) but really very good.
The main courses were two pastas (fusilli al ragu di angus and carbonara con guangiale) and a risotto alla pescatora. Everything to lick your fingers. There was no more room for dessert... We have to learn to sacrifice starters, because the quantities are plentiful!
The details were also very well taken care of:
- breadcrumbs
- bread with its plate to put a good drizzle of oil, ground salt and pepper
- almonds before serving your dessert (even if you don't make any)
- herbal liqueur to finish
With our bellies full and happy with what we found for lunch, we continued with the cultural visits of the day: Cultural Farm Park, 100% recommended.

We totally understand why U Maccicuni has been rated the #1 restaurant in Favara. Not only were the food portions generous and delicious, but the entire dining experience was also lots of fun. The restaurant exuded a wonderful ambience with a definite local flair. It is always nice to have a highly satisfying meal while also feeling like special participants in the moment. The seemingly bottomless complimentary bottle of Amaro was a much appreciated and unexpected exclamation mark on the evening.
