U' Barachè In Carloforte

After a motorcycle tour of the island of San Pietro, we stopped at this little restaurant in Carloforte, recommended to us by a local bar. It was a great choice. I also loved the menu I'd seen by chance, which seemed appropriate. Tuna and octopus for an appetizer, a trofie pasta with a tuna pesto whose aroma alone made it worth a second try, a grilled tuna dish worthy of a true saltimbocca, and wine to suit your taste. What can I say about the service? Excellent and attentive, and prices in line with the location. For those who want it, it's just a stone's throw from the ferry. Beautiful day.

We stopped for dinner one evening, intrigued by the presence of so many locals, and we had a great time. The service was friendly and informal, the menu featured tuna, tuna, and also delicious spaghetti with bottarga. The wine list wasn't overly extensive, but, on Elisa's recommendation, we tried an excellent Nuragus. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Everything was great. The girls serving us were quick, thorough, and friendly. The tuna mix was undoubtedly the best experience. The deliciousness and quality made our evening a wonderful experience.

We ate delicious food. It was a very pleasant place, and the service was excellent. Highly recommended. I would just separate the tables between smokers and non-smokers.

Intrigued by positive feedback from tourists who had dined here and intrigued by the hot appetizers, I decided to try this place, which was once a mere deli. The location is captivating, with tables overlooking an internal alley, well-arranged lighting, interesting food, and beautifully laid out tables. The service is courteous, unpretentious, and more than acceptable. Unfortunately, the hot appetizers were very disappointing: for me, a native of Udine and familiar with the dishes served, having been prepared by my grandparents back in the day, I found them lacking in flavor, typical of fast food for tourists, not a restaurant. The off-menu first course, "pasta with mullet roe, cherry tomatoes, and grated lemon," was good and plentiful. On the other hand, the pasta with bottarga was nothing special. The classic appetizer, with samples of various parts of the tuna, was adequate, but these are still pre-packaged products. In short, the €50 paid for two appetizers and two first courses with water, considering the average quality, is too much. Too bad.

Simply amazing!... unmissable dish Tagliatelle with Red Prawns and Truffle... followed by Trofie with tuna ragù and pesto.. then Catalana.. and the scent of the sea.. of which boiled Tuna placed with delicious Oil followed by Tuna tripe and the 3 tastings (better to ask afterwards what pieces of tuna they are🤪) strong flavors.. good wine.. smiles, courtesy of the girls... Elisa and Gianni 🔝 highly recommended... 🪷

The price was high for the quantity... a shame. I had tagliatelle with shrimp and truffles. The dish was good, but there was very little pasta, and there must have been the equivalent of two whole shrimp for €20. Another downside was that there were five of us, with two children. There were several tables set and unset behind us. We were seated at a table for four. When I asked if we could have an additional table for two for more space and shade, I was refused on the grounds of reservations. In the end, when we left at 2:30 p.m., no one was seated at the nearby tables or the unset tables around it... and we had to ask three times for the bottle of water we had originally ordered. The service and welcome were therefore not up to the final bill of €106 for five people, including four dishes, one bottle of water, and a bottle of wine for €26.

A charming place in a typical Carloforte alleyway. We recommend it.
