10/02/2026: I had the pleasure of visiting Carmine Argenio's Panificio Pizzeria Fornetteria, located on Via Calvanese in Foggia, and I would like to express my sincerest and most heartfelt appreciation. During my recent visit, I purchased a representative selection of their offerings, including pan pizza, fried panzerotto, focaccia slices, various types of bread, and some classic baked desserts. Each item was exceptional. The bread, in particular, had a distinctive organoleptic profile, with a crispy and fragrant crust, a perfectly moist and airy crumb, a ripe wheat aftertaste, and natural leavening, all indicative of the use of select flours, live sourdough, and a long maturation process. The aromatic notes—fermentative, toasted, and slightly nutty—were all clearly perceptible, an unmistakable sign of high-quality raw materials and a controlled production process respectful of tradition. The aspect that struck me most and deserves specific mention is the adherence to food safety protocols. The establishment is clean and tidy, with surfaces and workspaces appearing clean according to HACCP procedures. The staff was courteous, knowledgeable, professional, and extremely helpful. They provided precise answers, knowledgeable advice, and a respectful, smiling attitude. For all these reasons, I will certainly return and unreservedly recommend Fornetteria di Carmine Argenio to anyone seeking authentic baked goods of reasonable quality, made in full compliance with the strictest food safety standards.
