An insider tip in Monferrato! A bit remote among the villages, but the detour is worth it! It's important to make reservations in advance (even online), as this allows the small team to better prepare for their guests. The specialties are presented verbally, and recommendations should be followed. The starter plate was fantastic and full of surprises; the pasta (as it should be) was fresh and perfectly prepared. The highlight for us was the costolette d'agnello, rounded off with an elderflower sorbet! Simply a poem, complemented by the friendly and authentic service!

A regular stop for years for a special mushroom and truffle lunch. The restaurant is quiet, with limited seating and a family atmosphere that makes you feel immediately at home. The cuisine is typically Piedmontese, meticulously prepared and based on local, zero-mile products. Every dish is a guarantee: authentic flavors, excellent ingredients, and the truly expert hands of Mr. Fabio in the kitchen. Besides being a skilled chef, he's also an attentive and passionate host. Over all these years, he's never missed a beat! Every experience has been impeccable, always living up to expectations. Highly recommended for those seeking quality, tradition, and authenticity.

Even though we had to have a quick dinner, the owner made us feel very welcome. Everything was excellent, using local produce from his garden, and ultimately at a truly affordable price! Plus, he speaks perfect English and French. We recommend it to anyone passing through the area!

01/03/2026: I visited this restaurant for lunch and overall the experience was quite positive. The atmosphere is refined and welcoming, the staff friendly and helpful. I really appreciated the quality of the ingredients and the presentation of the dishes: you can sense the attention paid to the kitchen, and the flavor was adequate. Unfortunately, there was one incident that left me a little disappointed. I was served a cold steak; after I reported it, the dish was taken back to the kitchen and the same steak was returned, simply reheated, and on a lukewarm plate. I would have preferred more attention to the situation, perhaps by preparing a new dish or at least a small gesture of apology for the inconvenience. Overall, the food is good, but I believe that customer care in times of crisis really makes a difference. I hope it was just an isolated incident, but I recommend being careful because losing a customer can lead to very unpleasant word of mouth.

Pizzeria Ristorante Napoli

24/01/2026: The pizza was good, as was the hazelnut cake. The place was clean and nice. But... so cold!!! The dining room was very cold, even though the stove in the middle of the room was on.
01/01/2026: A renowned pizzeria in the Ovada area that recently began offering food. We had the seafood menu, which was truly satisfying and tasty, with everything made in-house, from appetizer to dessert. The wine pairing was excellent. We'll definitely be back.
