A small mountain hut located in a beautiful valley, accessible via an easy forest road, about an hour's walk from Malga Fane. The owners are very friendly and prepared excellent dishes for us; I recommend trying the Kaiserschmarren. Definitely worth trying again.

It's a gem in the mountains, with breathtaking views. The food was truly delicious and the service excellent. It's a place you should visit at least once in your life. From there, you can take other trails that connect to the mountain hut. Don't be disappointed if you don't see any marmots at first, because you will see them once you get to the hut. This mountain hut was one of the best I've ever been to after six years of hiking. The desserts are all handmade and truly exceptional, and I recommend the buckwheat cake. They also make their own juices, the mint one being the best. Excellent mountain hut, I recommend it.

A little gem nestled in a stunning valley, from which you can continue on to other beautiful hikes. Excellent food and very kind owners. We had lunch overlooking the marmots that abound in that area. We'll definitely be back.

Super! At the end of a comfortable, less-trafficked trail compared to the others starting from Malga Fane, you reach this paradise. After delicious dumplings and barley soup, we enjoyed their lounge chairs for a couple of hours without anyone pushing us. A group of friends also enjoyed the same experience, sitting at the table for just as long. A fantastic place to enjoy a stunning view away from the hustle and bustle.

The alpine hut isn't particularly large, but it's all the more welcoming! The view and the food are equally wonderful; we highly recommend a visit.

The Tschiffernaun Alm is an absolutely idyllic spot at over 2200m altitude – perfect for a relaxing break with a breathtaking view of the wide valley and the surrounding mountains. The atmosphere is peaceful and authentic, the seating areas charmingly decorated. We enjoyed a hearty snack – with bacon, cheese, sausage, fresh butter and horseradish – all fresh, regional, and beautifully presented. The hosts are friendly and the location is simply stunning. Anyone looking for a genuine alpine experience and tranquility will find it here.

08/10/2025: Very welcoming hosts, authentic and genuine. The food was excellent. Unfortunately, we didn't have room for the homemade bacon, so we'll definitely have to go back. Thanks for the digestive schnapps.

Ganischgerhof Mountain Resort & SPA

28/12/2025: We've just returned from a wonderful Christmas week. We and our three children had a fantastic time. The hotel staff, from reception to service staff, housekeeping, and the shuttle drivers, were incredibly welcoming. The food was excellent, leaving nothing to be desired. The children loved being able to try everything in reasonable portions and not having to limit themselves to the children's menu. We also really enjoyed the ski area. We hardly ever had to wait in line for the lifts, the slopes were in top condition, and usually quite empty. Early morning skiing with the snowcat ride up to the Ganischgeralm was a special experience. The children are still raving about it. A real luxury is that meals at the two mountain huts are included, and you can even charge drinks to your room. The fact that the hotel isn't directly on the slopes isn't a problem at all thanks to the excellent shuttle service. We'd love to come back and are looking forward to the upcoming improvements!
28/12/2025: Highly recommended! Lovely team, great service, excellent food, exceptionally clean rooms, comfortable beds, free shuttles to the ski slopes, and a breakfast that leaves nothing to be desired. I'm very curious to see what it will be like next year after the renovations. We certainly felt more than comfortable and would love to come back!
