I was there for dinner with friends, beautiful location, nice large and welcoming room, good, fast and precise service. We had an appetizer of fried gnocchi with mortadella and cheese, good and tasty, then we were brought a fried polenta as a welcome treat, I took an encore of the first cappelletti with cream and green cappelletti with ragù, very very good, only I would have made the portion a little more generous, like the second ganascini with raisins and baked potatoes side dish, water, Lambrusco and bitters offered, price slightly high but now average. Still a positive experience.

We've been going there for lunch with relatives for a couple of years, and in my opinion it's an excellent restaurant.
Good food, plentiful and reasonably priced.
I especially enjoyed the rice bomb and the fried dumpling.
The only note that doesn't concern the food: I would keep the heating a little lower because if the room fills up it gets very hot!

I was there in the winter for a private party, we had a room all to ourselves, a very nice and well-kept place (it is located inside a racecourse). Typically Emilian cuisine, done well like it used to be. Generous portions and I found great quality! We tried the traditional first courses from Reggio Emilia and the famous fried gnocco with cured meats, all very good! prices in line with high quality. The host is friendly and very helpful.

I often go on my lunch break, the place is packed, it's better to book. The menu respects tradition, excellent fried dumplings, tigelle, cured meats, plentiful and quality first courses. Excellent green tortelli!!! I recommend tiramisu, from a pastry shop! Pieces below average. friendly staff. the place located on the banks of the Enza river is clean and tidy but could do with a restyling. congratulations to the managers. highly recommended!!!

Trotter restaurant is located in Montecchio di Reggio Emilia, very easy to reach, the decor is characteristic linked to the culture of horses and trotting races.
On the front of the venue we find the racecourse.
The Trotter is a large venue ideal for groups and others,
being equipped with a large room and three smaller ones,
simple but well-made cuisine, respecting our gastronomic tradition, wines that go well together,
the desserts, good, I generally take the excellent trifle.
Prices in line with other honest trattorias.
Friendly and customer-focused staff.
Ample free parking.
Also open for lunch.

The large room is a bit noisy, but the smaller one is comfortable. The food is homemade and very good, tigelle and fried dumplings are so abundant that I often happened to take home what was left, so as not to consume it!
