A beautiful, colorful basilica with frescoes and mosaics. A wonderful, small, dark painting can be seen on the central altar.

A majestic basilica with breathtaking decorations. The bell tower soars over the city, and the square in front is spacious and meticulously maintained. Even for non-believers, the architecture and historical importance of this place are incredible. I recommend climbing the bell tower for a unique view of Vesuvius and the excavations. The sanctuary is imposing and very well organized to accommodate the influx of pilgrims. Inside, silence reigns despite the crowds. Very easy to reach from the Circumvesuviana station. One caveat: it gets extremely crowded on holidays, so it's best to visit on weekdays if you're looking for peace and quiet.

The Sanctuary of Pompeii is an absolute must-see if you are visiting the city. The adjacent car park (sanctuary car park) is very convenient and costs €2 for the whole day.

What can I say? One of the most beautiful Marian shrines in the world!!! Very welcoming, and the Madonna on the altar is marvelous!!!! Amen 🙏🙏🙏

09/06/2026: We dined here on Monday evening. The atmosphere is relaxed and meticulously maintained. We ordered a caciopepe. Special mention goes to the wait staff: attentive, knowledgeable, and never intrusive. The quality-price ratio is absolutely excellent considering the quality of the ingredients. I highly recommend it.
08/06/2026: We visited this restaurant in Frattamaggiore and shared an appetizer, a first course, and a second course. The bill of €55 was reasonable, although for three courses each, the final price would have been a bit steep (perhaps a small price adjustment on some dishes would have been appropriate). The only downside: I booked on TheFork partly because I was attracted by a plate of artisanal ravioli I saw on the app menu, but unfortunately, once we got there, they weren't available, and since I love homemade stuffed pasta, I was a bit disappointed. I was leaning toward giving it 4 stars based on these details, but in the end, I'll apply my "love factor": the quality of the food and service was so high that it deserves top marks. We felt pampered and had a wonderful time. Highly recommended!

31/03/2026: This place is amazing! The food was wonderful and the people are very kind. The first time we came in with no reservation, and were offered a drink and a seat outside to wait for a table. We truly enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and the experience. Thank you! Note: you have to go up some steps to reach them :)
29/03/2026: We stumbled upon it by chance. And it was a delightful discovery. Excellent food, lovely atmosphere, impeccable service, traditional cuisine, family-run. Highly recommended. P.S. Don't make our mistake and risk missing out: book!
