The gelato was good, and they mentioned special flavors like black sesame, but not good enough to deserve the award, which only two gelato shops in Florence have (three cones for 2025). So it raises questions about what the award was based on. Overall, it was good.

I visited this gelateria based on the Tre Coni rating from a major Italian newspaper. Unfortunately, I didn't find the quality I expected, compared to other gelaterias awarded by the same guide. The gelato is good, certainly with careful attention to the ingredients, but it's not exceptional, and it's prone to gross errors (many flavors have a watery consistency). A sore point is the price: €3 for a small cup, which is truly small compared to Florence standards. If you're only visiting the city for a few days, I recommend trying other gelaterias before visiting this one.

An absolute gem. Got to do the class with Vitulio Bondi and learn about what goes into making good gelato. Holy cow it’s both super simple and very complex. The fresh fruit! The flavors! Said hi to the international culinary students that he has learning from him and then tasted the gelato in the store front. The flavors were outstanding! I also learned that the aluminum lid vs exposed tubs “difference” is entirely a myth. Folks you gotta just search out great gelato. Not that it’s that hard…it’s right here at this gelateria!
